Purchased some Jupiter eBikes for the family to hit the trails, and my daughter hit a curb with the pedal and bent the pedal shaft, and eventually stripped the pedal arm so the pedal fell off and no longer screws in. So had to order a whole new crank assembly from Jupiter bikes. The only way to take the crank off the bike is to use this Crank Arm Remover puller. It worked fine, was able to successfully replace the crank and pedal with no issues. Handy tool to have if you want to repair bike issues on your own.

This tool worked great! It came dry so I added a very tiny little bit of oil to both sets of threads. I feel threads like these should be lightly lubricated. Especially when you consider the torque that you’re going to be applying. Unscrew the center driver bolt on the tool so that it’s even with the inner surface of the outer piece. If you look inside, none of the driver bolt should be past the inner surface. Then screw the outer piece into your crank arm. Making sure not to cross thread it. These are fine threads. Be careful and gentle starting it into the crank arm threads. And make sure you have it threaded correctly before applying any significant force and turning it in very much. Once you’re sure it’s in the threads right, turn it all of the way into the crank arm. It is important to make sure that the outer piece is all of the way into the crank arm. If you only have it in a couple of turns you could strip out the threads in your crank arm. It’s important to have the driver bolt backed out enough so that it doesn’t touch anything before the outer piece bottoms out inside the crank arm. Then, once the outer piece is turned all of the way into the crank arm, start turning the driver bolt inside the tool to remove your crank arm. It’s almost harder to explain how to use it than to actually use it. I’d buy it again without hesitation. And I’m not getting any form of compensation for this review. It seems very well made to me. It was very simple to use and worked great!

Stripped the crank arm as well. Amazon will probably replace the tool. Regardless of that, now i have to cut the crank off with an angle grinder and buy a new crank. Dont buy this tool. It will cost you way more in the end.

This is well built and the outer threads are well formed. The problem lies with the part that is supposed to press the crankset out. The tip has an O.D of 9mm. My vintage Campagnolo (Chorus ?) needed a tip with an O.D. of 8mm. I ended up using a short 8mm x 1.0 screw, threading into the end of the tapered crank spindle, and then using the tool to drive the chain wheel off the spindle. The unit worked perfectly.
Overall, its a quality product and should work fine with modern equipment.
