This stuff works great! I like it a lot better than wet lube.

This lube is wax that is suspended in a thin solvent. You put on quite a lot of it, then spin the chain, then wipe off as much as you can with a rag. Repeat until the rag remains clean after wiping the chain. The solvent causes any dirt in the chain to float to the outside where the rag can wipe it off and the solvent also carries the wax to the interior parts of the chain. Then you wait until the next day to ride so that all the solvent has time to evaporate. It only takes a few minutes to do, but you must reapply about every 200 miles. Also, this lube is for road bikes that are ridden on pavement, not dirt. This is an easy way to keep the chain very clean and well-lubed but does require you to reapply every couple weeks (assuming you ride about 100 miles a week).
So this lube is not for everyone. If you want to mess with the chain only a few times a year, get something much heavier. This is for roadies who want to keep the chain and gears looking perfect and running silently and don’t mind weekly or biweekly maintenance.

I’ve been trying different chain lubes, for my road bikes, for over twenty years. Somehow, I keep coming back to Rock-n-Roll. I guess it’s time to stop experimenting.

I’ve used it for years. Ride daily so road bike gets a workout. I clean chain & gears weekly. Chain has thousands of kilometers on it and is still in good shape.
