    1 YEAR UPDATE

So I’ve been using my headband here and there for a bit over a year now, during which times I’ve worn and washed it maybe a couple dozen times. As was honestly expected, the durability is just okay. The stitching is starting to come undone in a few points along the edges. Note that it’s still entirely functional so far, as it’s not splitting nor falling apart. And to be completely fair, each time I wore this, it was used until it was 100% soaked with sweat. I tend to wear this only on very long training runs, where the sweat would otherwise run into my ears and cause my earbuds to fall out. We’re talking 4-6 hour long ultramarathon training runs. And when things get that gross, they definitely need a nice long pre-soak and some gentle but steady agitation to fully get clean. So I suppose it’s not out of the question that I’d see some wear and tear in that time, and it lasted longer than I thought it would (I was expecting it to fall apart after the first few runs). Hell, I’ve had $80 running shorts showing splitting seams in even fewer washes.

I honestly wasn’t expecting them to honor their “lifetime warranty” promise, but I figured I paid for a brand that claimed to have one (instead of similar-looking Chinese brands that were cheaper), so why not ask? Glad I did. They got back to me in a few hours with a code good for another band — in fact, I was able to order two with the code. It’s awesome when a company stands by their products!

    ORIGINAL REVIEW

Good for the price if you want to avoid gigantic logos on your head and want some semblance of warranty. I’ve yet to put the latter to the test, but we’ll see.

This is perfectly adequate. It doesn’t quite have the substance/quality of a “brand name” item, but it’s enough for what you pay. In other words, whereas my old Nike band will likely be thrown away due to it being irreparably smelly/dirty at this point, I can’t imagine that the lower-quality material and stitching of this one will hold out that long. I could be wrong, but I’ve got enough “tech fabric” items to know durability pretty much at first glance/feel now. We shall see.

These may work for others but they were too small. I needed more width and had to return.

Wore it riding for 1:10 on a 33C day and worked as advertise. Can’t wait to try it again on a longer ride.

This product is easy to tie, sticks to your head well, and absorbs sweat easily. It was drenched by the end of my 1 and a half hour long cardio session, but not a drop went on my face and this saved me from having to constantly wipe sweat from my eyes.

This small purchase added what was needed to a pirate party costume. There was plenty of length to tie comfortably around my head and it wasn’t real hot to wear.

As a bald man when I workout eventually the state of my face becomes what others describe as juicy and with these all of that is behind me. When I first got them I thought they were kinda thin but not any more.

My 10 year old insisted on a head band like Rambo’s- I figured he’d wear it for 2 minutes and that would be the end. Well, we now have 2 so there’s always a clean one available because he wears it to school daily and to basketball practice and games. It stays put, is comfortable, easy to clean, and stands up to 8 hour a day use… and makes you feel like Rambo – really what more could you ask for?
