This product looked like it had been used by someone else for a while then returned and I got the return. It was rusty and terrible to use.
I returned it. Hope no one else is shipped my return ….

As others have mentioned, this skewer is being improperly manufactured due to material selection or process, perhaps heat treatment, causing the brittle skewer to easily break on the quick release side as shown. I ordered this because I needed a slightly longer skewer to attach a burley hitch for a child trailer. It broke as I was trying to align the trailer with hitch, there was basically no load applied at the time it broke. Thank God I was not pulling my children down the road when this occurred. I would stay away from this product like your life depends on it.

I am using this with an older Kurt Kinetic trainer. I bought another skewer direct from KurtKinetic for $ 0.50 more at the same time I bought this one. This one is about 4 mm longer than the original. My bike has 135 mm rear dropouts and both skewers work fine. I suppose it would work with 130 mm spacing also, but I doubt it would make 142 mm. If you have 142 mm or higher you likely also have thru-axle and would need an adapter of some kind anyway.

I brought this skewer because the one on my bike does not fit into my bicycle trainer. It works fine. Good for it’s price.

First let me start with the fact I ordered a different one at first: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075T6SGTQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Joan quick release Skewer. Well, it never showed up. I’m not blaming the manufacturer, but I do blame the USPS. They are horrible. Everytime I order and USPS has it, there’s usually trouble. Tracking is basically “last time we saw it was ________, we have no idea where your stuff is right now so it’s running late. Amazon, you need to quit doing business with them. Now back to this product, Quwei Quick Release Rear Wheel Skewer. I got it next day and it was delivered by an Amazon van, as usual no problem. Had it on the bike trainer within 20 minutes and it worked just fine. For the record, the bike trainer is this one from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716T26KG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Yup, I lost the skewer and this one fits perfectly. Good luck with USPS when it comes to any delivery. The best one I got from the USPS was “Attempted delivery, no one home” even though I was home all day waiting for it.
