    The main description is very misleading for fitting sizes. I got the XL as it suggested because I’m 6′, 170lbs and very athletic yet the straps for the waist are not adjustable at all and could fit a pillow underneath this thing. The shoulder straps are slightly adjustable but barely do anything. If I cross the straps over to the other side covering the protective plate, THEN it fits like I would want it to…which is annoying. I’m returning this today -kinda feels like that generic Halloween costume that just doesn’t fit you.

    I bought this vest for mountain biking in January this year. I’ve used it maybe 20 rides, mostly uneventful and comfortable to wear. But I have had a spill now on hard ground and some rocks, and after an initial impact where it was effective, one of the straps to hold it to my body broke. My back was then completely exposed and I had a substantial rib injury on secondary impact. I have included pictures of my vest so you can judge for yourself. Where the strap attaches with velcro on the front it stayed attached but where it is fixed and attached by a plastic ring on the back it broke. To me that is completely unacceptable for a vest that is advertised for sports and high speed as dangerous as Motocross. Well my wipeout might sound substantial in reality it was mostly a slide down the side of the Hill off the bike trail. There is no way the straps should have failed on this product. That can only be the result of poor quality and lack of any impact testing.

    I bought this product because it was advertised as suitable for even Motocross. No way.

    I will certainly not be replacing the vest and I would not recommend anyone use it for anything more than perhaps skate parks. And even for skate park I would not trust it to protect my kids. I’m trying to give a balanced review here because it is obviously not their fault that I fell. But when I buy a product for protection I expect PROTECTION!

    To the company selling this product if you read this review feel free to send me a refund, or if your current version of the vest is better manufactured send me that. I will gladly revise my posting to reflect your appropriate response if indeed you do respond appropriately.

    Super light weight, and fits great under my jersey. Price is affordable. The Velcro straps on the sides help to keep the vest in place and snug. It has adjustable straps on the shoulders in case you need it. The protection on the back is fantastic. I’m 5’9″ and about 180 lbs. I bought the large and it fits great. I’m satisfied.

    Lascia libertà di movimento. Il giubbotto è sempre da preferire ma quando il caldo è insopportabile, questo gillet è un’ottima soluzione… poi dipende dal tipo di guidatore , se sei spericolato metti la corazza non il gillet

    I haven’t used a lot of chest protectors, but this one has all the features I’m looking for as far as comfort and fit. The velcro fasteners cover a big area, so you can really adjust how this fits well. And the elastic has a good amount of stretch so you aren’t suffocating yourself. This mainly covers the upper chest and mid-to-upper back, and offers really good freedom of movement.

    To me, the WEIGHT is critical, as my (HWK) jackets weigh 5 pounds and 3 pounds (ventilated for Summer). The vest seems able to take QUITE a smack … and distribute the force over a broad area (of the torso). I particularly like that the rear protection extends down to one’s tailbone – over the small of one’s back.

    Thanks to the (VERY) adjustable straps, I can wear it either inside or outside an armored jacket or shirt.
