    I like this tool—it works! The Park Tool Master Link Pliers MLP-1.2 are simple to use and make opening and closing chain links easy. It’s well-built, feels durable, and fits comfortably in hand. A great tool for any cyclist.

    Wish there was a screw to hold the two parts but instead there is some sort of metal press the doesn’t look so durable .
    That is why I took one star.
    The fact that it is simple is pros not cons

    The plier metal itself looks o.k – It is a parktool – That is your insurance and I have read that such item from other companies tend to bend.

    This tool is simple to use, but it is solidly built. It makes you feel that a good brand product is different. I think I know why this product has good reviews. It is a little more expensive than other brands, but it is worth the price.

    Used many, many times since buying. Very effective on Shimano 8000 chains, and serviced several others with the same results. Universal, it makes easy work of correctly removing and installing master links without damaging or deforming.
    Another high quality Park Tool, must-have for cleaning, waxing and tuning chain length.

    I used to open chain links with needle nose pliers. These work so much more easily. The right tool for the job is always better than improv.
