Used the Park Tool 450 to hang bikes in a DIY sliding bike storage setup. Tightened the nuts up on either side of the trolley with some lock tight and it was good to go. The 450 is a perfect fit for BMX tires but I wouldn’t recommend it for larger mountain bike tires. For the mountain bike tires I would recommend the park tool 470 oversize hook. Important to note that the 450 has a M8 thread and the 470 has an M10 thread, but for our application it was interchangeable.

This is an excellent product and I would recommend. BUT be aware the picture is of the X-LARGE (model 470XX) and not the OVERSIZED version
(model 470) which are different. What is pictured is the 470XX (x-large) with the flattened hook. The 470 (oversized) has a fully rounded hook. See the Park Tools website for actual pictures – they have a great picture showing all three together so you can get a sense of what you’re getting. Happy shopping!

These hooks are perfect for mounting on a strut channel as a bicycle rack. I like the larger size to accommodate bigger mountain bike tires. In addition, the machine threads work perfectly to secure the hook.

These are nice, heavy duty hangers. Perfect for mountain bikes, hoses, and cords.

Used these with some square washers and some strut (unistrut/kendorf) to build a sliding set of hooks in my conex container. It works great!! The larger hooks work better especially for mountain bikes.

Worked perfect with the Stanley door trolleys. Will not work with the Everbuilt trolleys. You will need to buy narrower nuts though as they will rub on the boxrail

Got the oversize version of these hooks, and they are definitely beefy. I’m always a bit paranoid about things coming down from the ceiling on my car, so I wanted something that was heavy duty and where I could be sure it was secure. However, I also wanted to be able to adjust it if desired, so I didn’t want to use normal lag hooks. So I bought these and some strut channel. The 10mm size is a bit of a pain to work with (most strut channel nuts for example are in SAE rather than metric), and I would have preferred 3/8″ over that, but other than that, these are awesome.

The description gives an SAE size, but it turns out it’s metric. I had to alter my project but ultimately made it work. The dimensions are perfect for building a lift for a wrangler top, otherwise
