poor design guide pin is not straight had to modify to get it to work. try harder than this.

I used this to trim the brake hose on my mtb. It had no problems cutting the line. And the press worked exactly as expected with the tektro barbed insert as olive.
There’s nothing on the tool I would change. It works great as is. The only thing I would have liked is if there were a case for storage.

Tool broke on the first use. The point got stuff in the barb while I was setting it. Barb and took are now useless.

Hydraulic disc brakes require some special tools of course, but this is what I would consider a hardcore tool, as in, you have to be pretty hardcore into biking to warrant needing this tool. I service my bikes myself, they never go to a shop, so when it came time to replace a brake line damaged in a wreck, I needed a fitting pusher like this.
It’s very easy to use and first try I got a perfect install. It’s nicely made and has a good finish with no burrs. The anodizing seems a little suspect but only time will tell and it won’ hurt functionality anyway so I don’t care that much about it.
