This is a great Tandem Bike for the price. Arrived quickly without any visible damage to the box. I took the whole thing in the box to a local Bicycle mechanic and had him assemble it. It was ready in 2 hours, and only added $50 to the price of the bike. I like it! My wife on the other hand has difficulty with her legs and finds it difficult to mount. This was not anything that I anticipated and is not a flaw in the product. I just thought I would mention it for all the other men who think this will be a great way of the two of you getting exercise together. otherwise great product and rides nice. The wide handlebars take a little getting use to but after 5 minutes, the ride is smooth and not wobbly.

I am extremely unhappy with this product. It looks pretty, but the frame already had scratches on it, the fenders were so bent that it was frustrating trying to get them to look right when putting it together, but the worst part is that the chain (which is already on there) is so tight that it could snap at any given moment, and there’s no way to loosen it. Then my friend and I try to ride it, and there’s a defect in the only gear it has so it makes a loud clicking sound, not to mention that the pedals are so low to the ground that she actually got hurt when we turned because her flip flop got caught between the pedal and the road. We both have been riding beach cruisers for the past 10 years, so this is an oversight when they built this bike. I have no idea how anyone with any beach cruiser experience could’ve gave this more than 2 stars on the craftsmanship alone. I’m super bummed, and depending on what it will cost to have this brand new bike fixed, I will probably be shipping it back. This was not at all what I had expected when reading the reviews. I purchased this bike because I needed something happy to help lift a heartache over a loss I went through, but instead, I just felt more frustration in a product that was not worth the headache it’s now causing me. And to ship it back, dies that mean I’ll have to take it all apart again, and try to fit it back in that box you can never fit it back into? This is the first bad review I’ve left on Amazon in the many years I’ve been ordering stuff from them, so that should let you know what a disappointment it was. I’d recommend spending a little more and find a better built tandem.

I bought this bike to replace a Schwinn Tandem I bought at Canadian Tire that I use several times a week (weather permitting 5-10km each time) with my adult son who has Autism. It is much more rugged, stable, faster and better built than the Schwinn.

The brakes wear rather quickly, had it for about a month and I need to replace the pads. It would be great if the first gear was larger to make it easier to go up hills, like the Schwinn had. Other than a few adjustments, it rides great. Ideally have a professional tune it up.

If you are new to tandems, watch some videos, synchronization and patience is key.

This was easy to put together. Bike is cute but it’s not the best bike to ride needs to be longer. Front person has to be careful or their foot will hit the front tire when turning. Just fun around the neighborhood not good for long bike rides.

I am 5’4” and need to be the captain, while my husband is 6’1”. I previously purchased a more expensive and sporty tandem bicycle thinking it would work for us but it was still too high for me to safely navigate or reach the ground from the front position, even at the lowest adjustment. I sent it back and read good things about this model being compatible with couples that vary in height. We love riding through the neighborhood or park and get lots of smiles and waves. It is more of a touring bike with only one speed so it makes hills challenging but that makes for teamwork and a great leg workout!

I don’t understand why there are bad reviews. You have to understand what you are buying and take some responsibility for yourself. Think about it, you are buy a tadum bike for around $200,shipped from overseas in a box. Of course this bike isn’t going to blow your mind. If you are looking for a low cost bike for 2 this is it. Not the highest quality but a great buy if you want to go on an adventure. It’s not hard to build, it took me a 6 pack and a set of Allen wrench’s.

This bike is BEAUTIFUL!!! Just got it today and took it for a quick spin around the neighborhood with my wife, this was the birthday gift I got her. I’ll jump right in and give you my first impressions.

    PROS:
    – Its extremely sturdy and well built. I’m actually shocked at the quality of the frame and the components. Thick down tubes and good welds everywhere, I think I’m going to get years of use from this bad boy.
    – It comes nearly fully assembled. Start to finish, it took me less than an hour to put it together. They’ve done most of the tricky stuff and you really just have to situate the front tire, the seats and the handle bars.
    – Super wide tires. I plan on keeping this at our shore house because it doesn’t have gears and flat ground is where this thing needs to be. The wide, white wall tires are gonna be perfect for the occasional patch of sand and I shouldn’t get bogged down, that’s just a bad accident waiting to happen with two people on a bike when you lose control of the front tire. These fatties should cruise right over.
    – The paint is perfect. No low spots or missed coverage. In fact, even the handle bars, seat posts and all other metal pieces I can see have been coated, there’s no bare metal anywhere. This should keep visible rust at bay and keep the entire bike looking sharp for a long time.
    – I’m a big guy, 6’3, 200 pounds, and I’m very comfortable on this bike. I was able to raise the seat pretty high and the handle bars come back to you pretty far so you’ll be seated completely upright and look like royalty as you glide down the road.
    – The kickstand. Trust me, it’s perfect.

    CONS:
    – No tools included. You don’t need a lot, but if you don’t have Allen wrenches in your aresenal, you’re going to need to get your hands on some (add them to your order, they don’t take up a lot of space in a junk drawer and you’ll be surprised how much you use them for other things). You’re also going to need a few, different sized wrenches. I think the manufacturer should have included these specific items in the set, but I’m guessing their exclusion lends to the lower price of the bike.
    – The pedals. They’re great looking out of the box, but aside from the post being metal, the pedal itself is plactic. I forsee this plastic getting brittle over time and snapping off. I’ll eventually upgrade mine anyways. If you swap yours out, be mindful that the width of the screw is SMALLER on the rear crankset. If you put this bike together, you’ll know what I mean.

That’s it, the pros far outweigh the cons.
For the money, you’ll be hard pressed to find something of this quality without spending hundreds more.

Fun. Not a great bike, but a good value and works fine. Plan on a couple hours to assemble. I also tightened the brakes 1/4-1/2″. A tandem is a great idea for that age kid who is too big for a bike seat and not quite skilled enough to navigate traffic safely yet, and you still gotta get ’em to school. Ride a bike!

This bike was a great buy. Easy to assemble, sturdy and comfortable to ride. Both tires wobbled slightly, but that was quickly remedied by adjusting the spokes. Couldn’t be happier! I’m just sorry my outdoor activity season will soon be over. I’ll be on it again ASAP!

My 18 year old son came home to the box of this bike in the driveway after being gone all weekend. He said, “I’ve always wanted a tandem bike.” He was so excited. He put it together with his 12 year old sister the next day and they have all had the best of times riding it around. It was easy to assemble. It works perfectly. We love it. We love the color. We love how easy it is to ride. The quality is great! Our kids couldn’t be happier about having a tandem bike finally.
