The bike seems well built and was easy to put together. It’s 90% built right out of the box. Didn’t need any adjustments to the gears or brakes. It comes ready to go. We have about 100 miles on them now. We live in a mountainous area and the bikes make every ride feel like you’re going slightly downhill.
I’m 64. The bike is big enough that it’s hard for me to lift my leg up over the seat as I get on. So I use a curb to get on and off. The extra eight inches helps. If I had to buy a bike again, knowing what I know now…. I’d have gotten one with 20 inch tires.
Again, these bikes are good quality. My personal preference for next time will be a bike with 20 inch tires.

It took a min to write this but it’s an amazing bike I rode around town and it’s pretty smooth and the screen it comes with is super handy especially when seeing how much battery life it has, also comes in handy that it tells you how fast you go. The assembly was easy but a little difficult just by yourself but it was definitely worth it.

The first thing I noticed when taking the bike out of the box was the build quality. This bike is sturdily built of heavy gauge aluminum and the welding is visibly well done.

The bike has features usually found on bikes costing at least $1000 more: good disk brakes, high capacity battery, good digital display, and a very powerful motor. It also has full suspension. The front suspension is adjustable, and can be locked out for maximum distance on smooth terrain.

After assembling the bike (throwing away all the packing foam and cardboard was the hardest part) and making sure the battery was charged, I took it out for a ride on flat ground. At pedal assist level 1, the power assist seemed almost not there (but it is… this is a heavy bicycle). Level 2 was quite noticeable. When I hit level 3, it was “OMG!”. 4 and then 5 were just crazy.

I was able to reach 35 mph with no real trouble.

I live in a hilly area, so I wanted a bike with plenty of power. The Swift Horse has it. Many bikes advertised as “1000 watt” are 1000 watts peak, with less continuous power. The Swift Horse is 1000 watts nominal, with a peak of 1600 watts. The difference is very noticeable.

After topping up the battery, I took it up a HUGE hill… 4.5 miles of solid, heavy uphill road, some of it extremely steep. At level 3, I went up the entire thing at a comfortable, steady 20 mph. After the hill climb, and 4 more miles of flat ground, I still had 3 bars out of 5 on the battery meter. Very impressive after that enormous hill. A light rider on flat ground might actually get close to the claimed 80 mile range, and that is saying something. Most range claims are not very realistic.

All in all I am extremely pleased with the bike. I gave the bike 5 stars because I could not give it 4 1/2. The only reason I am reluctant to give it a solid 5 stars is a lack of any sort of power lockout. There is no provision to turn the power off with a key. It is just a button. For many people this may not be a concern, but it is for me.

So if security is an issue, I recommend going with the “Pro” version of the bike, which uses an NFC key to unlock the controller. I am upgrading! The Pro version also has an even larger battery.

This is a lot of bike for the money, compared to the competition. I would buy it again.

Much research left this deal as a top 2 or three option. The added power and speed for hills, additions like the $200 custome (made for this bike) bulletproof rack made it a no brainer for me. Its so much fun, I feel like its worth twice what I paid. The downsides are weight (extra power makes this a non-issue), unbalanced suspension (full length front tube softer than rear single pivot air shock–can be upgraded easily!), and underpowered braking (can be upgraded, a little more complicated). The ride is good, feeling nimble and quick (compared to other 80-90+ lb bikes), despite a few extra pounds. I enjoy tinkering so the upgrades are very doable and optional. The sluggish breaks, given the mass of this “Swift Horse,” could be a safety issue. Lets face it, more power and weight needs more brake. You get going fast very easily and cannot stop quickly in an emergency. So you have to keep the speed down, anticipate better, or do the right thing and upgrade the brakes right away. I’m riding with the original brakes for now, but I”m quite experienced and making sure this issue is not overlooked by a future buyer, to devastating result. There is a Youtube video showing suspension and braking upgrades. Great purchase, riden regularly, can be life improving fun transportation. Cheers!

I am 5’3”. 145lbs. 72 years old. My husband and I love these bikes but I wish they offered in step thru as the older you get the harder to lift leg to straddle.
They weigh 80 lbs too so beware they are heavier than some others. They are amazingly powerful and the battery life is fantastic! I pedal a lot and my battery never goes down. My husband is 6’ 230 lbs and he pedals a lot too but his battery goes down a little bit. Using the power assist is what uses your battery! We think these bikes are awesome! The accessories pack is pretty cheap stuff as the phone holder bolt is stripped out. Probably would purchase separately as I like saddle bags better. Bag sits too high on back of bike for swinging leg over bike!
