I purchased the shoe covers for my husband. He’s worn various brands of neoprene shoe covers over the years. So when he needed new shoe covers I looked at the brands he’s familiar with and gasped at some of the prices. A few years ago I purchased a pair of CXWXC toe covers and have been very pleased with them so I decided to purchase CXWXC shoe covers for my husband. He’s only used them once so far and he said they’re the best he’s ever worn. He was happy they offered larger sizes – he doesn’t have a big foot but doesn’t want the shoe cover to be too tight or a struggle to get them over the shoe. He like the heavy duty zipper versus velco-type closures that some of the expensive brands use. And normally he would use a chemical toe warmer inside the shoe but said it wasn’t necessary with the CXWCX covers – they kept his feet toasty warm. Bottom line – best shoe covers ever!

Work as intended. I would order a size up. With wool socks they kept my feet warm in -3 c temps.

Arrived very quickly and great quality material, however, beware of size as far too small to fit over trainer despite buying correct shoe size Needed to return item, which is abit of a faf as from the USA.

I purchased the CXWXC Neoprene Cycling Shoe Covers to wear over my Vans while cycling (MTB, trails & paths). These are designed & sized for cycling shoes, but the XX-Large fit snugly over my size US 9.5 Vans Pro V shoes. They are comfortable, keep my shoes dry & my feet warm. I’ve worn these on multiple predawn rides, w/temps from 40F (5C) down to 20F (-7C) & for as long as 1 hour. I also wore them on a morning ride w/drizzle, my shoes were bone dry afterwards.
The covers seem to be well made for the price. There are finger loops w/reflective printing on the shin & heel of the covers to assist w/putting in the covers. The heel & under toe portion of the covers are reinforced to help protect against wear. The velcro strap that goes across the midsoles is also reinforced (though I’d try to minimize walking on the straps). There are also reflective logos on the outside ankles & front of the covers as well. The zipper has a thin plastic covering to help keep water out (this does add to resistance when using zipper). The zipper is easily grasped when zipping & licks well enough into place as to not unzip while wearing.
When putting the shoe covers on, I found the best thing to do, is to unzip & pull them in before you put on your shoes. Then after your shoes are on, pull the covers over your toes, then use the heel loop in the covers to pull on over your heels. Then fasten velcro straps across midsection of your soles & then zip up. To make zipping easier, make the zipper as straight as possible by pointing your toes downward.
Overall I’m very happy w/CXWXC Neoprene Cycling Shoe Covers.
I hope you found my review helpful.

They look sharp while cycling. I am in the Chicago area and have ridden several times in the last two weeks with these on and no toe warmers.
Temps have generally been above 30 F with no snow yet. Here’s what I found:
40+ F for 30 miles, no cold toes as you’d expect at this temp.
32-40 F for 30 miles, first 15 miles felt great. Toes got cold on the back half 15 miles. I think it was 32, cloudy and 10 mph winds that day. Wasn’t unbearable, but feet were stinging and red when I got home.
25-32 F for 30 miles, you will probably want heat pads of some kind unless you’re Rambo.
Under 25 F – heck with it, ride the stationary bike and watch a video! Too much clothes, blowing nose, closed restrooms on the trail, dark earlier, etc.
They fit and look good. A little tough to zip up – pinch it together while zipping up. Seems to be breaking in as gets easier to put them on. Get feet warmers for below 38 F. I’ve been riding for years and I just don’t think there is an easy solution for cold toes. Toe warmers help, but they are not perfect either.
I am keeping these for sure!

I’m an avid cyclist and ride through the winter including temps in the 10-20F range. I’ve gone through many different products for keeping feet warm and dry, which is especially challenging for road cycling because those shoes tend to be designed for summer use, vented, etc. and clipping onto pedals means there will always be exposed area at the bottom.
For my money, there’s nothing more effective than a decent 3-5mm neoprene liner slipped over the shoes, with some degree of water repellency, and depending on the quality of construction I might get 2 seasons out of a pair, roughly 40-50 rides. Options at this price point rarely make it a full season for me.
These are well made, strong stitching, reinforced seams, and even some kevlar on the bottom. My road shoe size is 45 European, about 10.5 US, and these were pretty tight fit so consider sizing up a bit.
Warmth is a personal thing, YMMV, but in my case I typically expect to be able to ride for 2 hours in 20-40 degree temps with regular road shoes, medium weight wool socks and this type of cover, any thing longer or colder and I might need to throw in some of those hot pocket thermal packs to help out. Using that standard, these work just as well as higher end products by some well establish cycling-oriented companies.
I would also describe these as water RESISTANT, definitely not water PROOF. Any light to medium precipitation coming down from above is going to slide off and not get through, but any road splash from below will eventually get up to the socks.
Overall, after 5 rides with these I’m very impressed–they are warm, decent protection, and are much more durable than I would have expected. I will definitely be picking up a few more.
