I needed a slightly smaller bike bag for my brother, as the one that he had was bothering him, since he could feel it when sitting on his saddle. I grabbed this, as it seemed a nice middle ground between too big and too small, and so far, it’s worked great! First, it looks fantastic. I love the grey material. The zippers feel great too, and the extra bungies on top means he can shove a light jacket on top if he needs to. He can also bring an extra water bottle and throw it on the back bottle pocket. The straps to hold it down are solid and keep it in place, and the shoulder strap to carry it around with you are a nice touch. Not sure how waterproof it’ll actually be, but overall, I’m super impressed with this thing!

This is a very cool product, and I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews about the zippers however, all the zippers work perfectly fine. The mesh material on the outside is really high-quality and the interior has a metallic layer that is designed to keep drinks and food cold. It has just the right amount of straps to strap it to any rack. You may want to use a few zip ties to really get it permanently on the rack if needed, but there seems to be enough loops to make that happen. I have used this to bring drinks and Do you pick up things at the farmers market and it works great. Highly recommended.

UPDATE: The main zipper broke after about 2 weeks with minimal use.
Just got this bike rack bag and so far it’s great. The bag has two sturdy velcro straps that affix the bag to your existing bick rack. Zippers are sturdy and it has plenty of storage for lots of items. The drink holder is fine but not sure I will end up using it. If you don’t want a bulky basket option, this is great for carrying personal items like a wallet, phone, small purse or other type items. Very nice for the price.

Pros:
* Handy bottle holder
* Likely better thermal insulation due to interior reflective surface
* Lightweight
* Low price
Cons:
* Arrived with zipper on one side nearly inoperable, possibly due to stitching of interior lining too close to zipper. Pulling hard on zipper eventually closed it, but with several zipper teeth misaligned or not closed (see photo). Getting either zipper around the corners near the bottle pocket was difficult.
* Mounting requires threading single piece of webbing with velcro under rack from one side to other, through plastic buckle and then closing velcro pieces underneath rack. This is impossible with anything that blocks access underneath rack, such as side panniers or baskets. I much prefer my other bike trunk that has four separate pieces of velcro at the four corners and where the velcro sticks to the side of the trunk rather than a strap underneath the rack.
* No zipper on interior pocket; no expansion zipper
Measured interior dimensions:
* Easily accommodated standard 2-7/8” diameter bike bottle (limit is probably 3” diameter) in 5” deep end pocket.
* Zippered lid width is approx. 6”; main compartment depth tapers from 4.25” at hinge end to 5.5” at end near bottle pocket; length is 12”; easily fits a one gallon milk jug with a little room to spare.
* Putting D-lock shackle with an outside width of 5.25” is a tight fit in the top pocket (the one with velcro flap); length of this pocket is 9.5”.
Conclusion: based on the zipper problems alone, I would return this item as defective if purchased. Might be suitable if you get one with good zippers and don’t want a larger trunk.

This is going to sound like a broken record if you’ve read the other reviews, but yes: the zipper is not great. The problem is partly that the liner is too bulky near the zipper and impedes the zipper’s path. I spent some time firmly folding the liner back away from the zipper all around the path, and that helped a lot. Still, the zipper tends to get caught near one of the corners. So now when I close the zipper, I keep a finger just ahead of the zipper to clear the path and prevent hangups. Annoying? Yes, but workable.
The other aspect I wasn’t thrilled with was the Velcro attachment straps. There were no instructions provided, and I found it somewhat tricky to attach to my bike’s rack. It works, but it’s not as secure as I would have expected. When the bag is laden with items, it tends to slide from side to side a bit while biking. It makes me think that it should be tighter on the rack, but I can’t see how to accomplish that.
On the bright side, the capacity is pretty impressive, and I appreciate that it has a foil liner inside to help insulate if you’re carrying cold beverages. There is a strap in the back to accommodate a tail light or a reflector, and it also has a silver reflective strip on the back to help with visibility. Aesthetically, I think it looks nice (I got the light gray color). The pocket on top is perfect for a large phone.
It’s a little more expensive now than when I ordered it, but I think it’s a very good value at the ~$10 range, and a decent value at the $15-20 range.
3.5/5 stars. It’s not perfect — especially because of the zipper. But I like the utility and I think it should last several years at least if the zipper is treated with care.
