This is a very well made tool, and I was sure I was going to love it. It looks beautiful, and I like how the tools are all chrome plated. It’s not likely you’d need a chain tool on the road (I’ve never used one once in my years of biking), but it’s nice to have for when you do need one.

The black piece attached to the bottom works as a tire lever, and has spoke wrenches in the most common sides built in. There’s also an 8mm box wrench (again, a common size,) built in. You wouldn’t want to use this wrench unless the black piece is attached to the tool, because it would be hard to get decent leverage and the black piece would dig into your hand.

I used this tool to install a mirror on my road bike, and that’s when I discovered the two design limitations I mentioned. First, in order to access the most commonly used tools, you have to flip up either the chain tool or the 8mm tool, and then flip them down again to use the tool you just selected. This might not sound like a big deal, but when you’re switching back and forth between a couple of different tools, all that flipping becomes sort of annoying.

The biggest drawback is that most of the tools are too short. Honestly, I didn’t give this a thought until I tried to use the 4mm and 5mm tools to install the mirror. Both of these were too short because either there was clearance or because the body of the tool got in the way. (The last photo shows the part of the mirror where I was unable to use this multitool. One screw is recessed, and the other has tight clearance.)

To finish installing the mirror I had to switch to my old Crankbrothers mutlitool, which has longer tools. (See photo for comparison.)

This orange multitool is going into my bike saddlebags as an emergency takealong tool, and hopefully I won’t encounter any situations where the short tools will be a limitation. For many uses it should be fine, but for me the tool didn’t work at all to install the mirror. I’m really disappointed, because I love the way this tool looks and was expecting to love it.

I put this to use the minute I had it in my hands. It’s really a great tool and has every size tool you need for any bike. It even has a chain break that works great. It also has a removable double ended tire spoon with a alan key hole and spoke wrench all on the same piece. It’s solid, well built with good materials and a must have for any regular rider. I really can’t believe I went this long without one, as it’s replace a lot of tools that I either didn’t want to carry, or simply didn’t have room to carry. No need to be concerned about that anymore bcuz this tool does the trick for almost any minor repair. You’d be foolish not to have this with you while out for a ride, or for a regular tune up.

The media could not be loaded.

Update: The description says this is metric, but either the tolerances are abysmal or these are actually empirical. Could not undo a 4m bolt with this. It’s not even close. Do Not Buy.

It’s much heavier and much larger than I’d expected. I was looking for something compact, but there are 20+ multis are this same size, and lighter.

Probably works fine as a tool, but not what I need, so going low on the stars.

This multitool like a Swiss Army knife for cyclists, with 15 tools in one tidy package. Need hex wrenches? No problem. Torx, screwdrivers, chain tool? Yep, it’s all there. The hex wrenches are there to tweak brakes, handlebars, saddles. The chain tool? It’s a lifesaver for chain mishaps. And those integrated spoke wrenches come in handy on a MTB trail.

Size-wise, it’s just right. Not too big, not too small – perfect for backpack or panniers. It’s lightweight, made of aluminum, but still has the kind of feel that gives the impression of good quality construction.

And priced at $18.99 with a 20% off coupon, that brings it down to just over $15, which is very competitive. This one is worth putting in your mobile toolkit.

This has just what you need for trailside repairs, all the common sizes for most modern bikes. The inclusion of a torx T25 is super important as sram has started to use this for most of their components. I think the quality is on par with most multi-tools, not something that you want to use for garage repairs but more on the side of the trail.

I tried the chain tool on an old chain and it had no problem breaking and pushing the pin out. Just like with all small chain tools, it takes quite a bit of force to break the chain so just be ready for it.

The only thing that I would change is to drill a hole in the middle and have a place to store a master link for your chain, that would make it perfect.

I really needed a multi tool to replace the handful of odd tools that I had been carrying around for emergencies on the bike. While I haven’t had this for long, it has already come in handy and I am happy to have it. it is solidly made and easy to stow. While it wont replace a full shop, it is a life saver for on the road. there is a little awkwardness in using it, but the trade-off of being easy to trow in the pocket of bag makes up for it. (Fortunately) I have not needed to use any of the tools other than the Allen wrenches, but I will update this if the other tools make the experience less than 5 stars.

The Bike Multitool is awesome. It has great utility, with lots of capabilities. The finish is excellent and the tools are made of high-quality steel. The tool is compact and can be easily stored in your pocket or in storage bags. Along with the typical functions, the tool also provides a chain link removal tool. I carry this tool in my bike storage bag whenever I ride. Great product.
