The pump was the standout feature to me. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it gets the job done, which is great. The multitool is useful; I used it to assemble my bike, in-fact. I have yet to test the patches, but they seem fine and like they would work when needed. The carry bag is pretty decent, too, no real complaints there. Imo this is better than the Ozark Trail stuff at Walmart, and the pump is the icing on the cake since I’m carrying this on the bike. Patches with no pump seems silly to carry all the rest on the bicycle, so that’s taken care of here.

This kit is convenient for an over-the-road, weight conscious bicyclist. The way I look at it, if I were stranded on a county road or far along on some seldom used path, and I needed to treat a small tire leak or adjust a malfunctioning derailleur, or adjust my seat or handlebars, this kit would be a godsend. Would I rather have regular shop tools? Sure. But the Allen wrenches and drivers are easy to use. The nut wrenches are more difficult to manipulate. But toss in a couple open end wrenches you might need into the provided bag.
But for those who don’t want to tote an entire small tool pouch, patch kit and pump, this kit does all that. Note, if you’re pumping up fat tires rather than ultra-thin road tires, it will take you a while. Also note, you should already know how to find the leak and apply the patch yourself, as there are no detailed instructions provided. (I did this dozens of times as a kid on my sting-ray bike)
As previously mentioned, the bag itself allows for the addition of a favorite wrench or screw driver. And the bag is set to hook to a carabineer or use straps to Velcro to a seat. So that’s handy. For the price, it’s a nice insurance policy to cope with a road breakdown.
