The bike was pretty easy to put together, feels solid, and is really fun to ride. I call it The Beast, as it’s quite big – almost too big for me. I’m 5’ 4”, the shortest recommended height, but my legs are shorter than average for my height. It’s hard to tell from the listing with all those 6’ giant guys in the videos and reviews. While riding it’s fine, but at stops I’m on tiptoe. I’ve had it about a month and all is well so far. I’m riding about 3 miles to work, and it’s great to get there without being all drippy and red-faced from the exertion – pedal assist is just right, and throttle is awesome for the big hill. I tend to pedal along at about 15 mph, but have gotten it near the 28 mph max on occasion. I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars just because I’ve only had it for about a month, not nearly long enough for a thorough review, or experience with longevity or customer service. I’m hoping things continue as well as they’ve begun.

I’ve had this bike for just a few days, already 30 miles in and so far it is an amazing bike. It came exactly as described, everything working perfectly. There were some issues with shipping, however, customer service was very responsive. A marginal note, though, I am 5’6 with long legs and need to request a seat extender so I can pedal it, use pedal assist, etc. in the meantime, I am able to ride well in electric mode. So far, it looks like I’ll get about 45 miles per charge (in electric mode-slightly better than advertised). Customer service sent me one promptly.

Product Review – Awful, Horrible, Terrible, wish I could give 0 stars
Inferior and arrived damaged/defective. Not within 1 hour of use the bicycle pedal fell off.

The product is poorly designed and defective and requires the seller to continually send replacement parts. I could already tell a replacement part wouldn’t work for me since my bike arrived defective/damaged. It’s not normal for a bicycle to fall apart within a matter of minutes of using it. Despite all that, the seller sent a replacement part which I had professionally installed by a bicycle shop, and it broke again within 30 minutes of use. The tires are also very cheap and thin. Expect to replace those very quickly riding this bicycle.

I asked for a return at no cost to me and a full refund a couple days after receiving the bicycle defective. The seller dodged and ignored me and sent a replacement part instead. I purchased the insurance with the bicycle and called ASURION (insurance) to schedule a repair. To my surprise, Asurion told me that based off of my explanation of what happened they cannot cover a repair since the bicycle arrived defective/damaged. Asurion’s policy doesn’t cover when seller sells a defective bicycle. They asked me to reach out to Amazon/Merchant since it’s within 30 days for a resolution.
Amazon was no help and said this is a 3rd party and as such, they have no responsibility to the customer when their 3rd party partner sends damaged/defective goods. They told me to reach out to the seller which I did.
1 month later and this seller refuses to return the bicycle at no cost to me and refund me. I requested this days after receiving the defective/damaged bicycle, which is within the 30 day consumer protection law when a merchant sells a damaged/defective product. They have dodged and evaded my request. Sent canned responses, like a loose pedal is “normal” and instruction on how to tighten the crank, etc. I showed the bicycle shop what they sent me and they laughed because a loose pedal and crank that falls off within 30 minutes after professionally installed is not “normal” but a poorly designed and defective bicycle.
My Commentary
Read the reviews. I’m not the first one to report this. Within 1 week of receiving this damaged/defective item and aggressively trying to get them to take this product back, suddenly the price went from $1400 (what I paid) to $850 (new price). My theory is they realized they received a bad batch from their manufacturer and are trying get rid of inventory fast by discounting the price significantly. Also, they changed their return policy ever since I started complaining and reaching out.
READ their return policy and realize you are buying from a very unscrupulous 3rd party vendor on Amazon. You have no protection from Amazon since they DO NOT ship this. Amazon mentioned they could have resolve my problem based off the evidence I provided had it been a purchase from them directly or the 3rd party contracted through them and their shipping.
Awful, Horrible, Terrible experience spending almost $1500 on this bad product. Now I have to go through extra effort just to get my money back. It’s not worth the stress and time I’ve spent trying to get this merchant to do what’s right and return the bicycle at no cost to me and refund me. I warned you.

WOW! I’ve only ridden it as a regular bike so far because the battery is charging. I just received this today and I am blown away as to how light this bike is with or without the battery on it, very easy to ride as a regular bike. It’s a sharp looking, tough looking bike and I think it’s going to be pretty fast because there is no heavy weight that is going to bog it down (other than the rider and the battery). I highly recommend this bike. One of my tire reflectors was shipped with half of it broken and I’m not sure how to contact anyone about it but other than that, hope the shipper sends me a new reflector. I recommend this highly! I rode it on gravel and hit big dirt bumps and the ride is smooth as can be. I’m very impressed. I also rode it with the battery and absolutely love it.
