I bought this handlebar bag for a week-long bike tour for a light touring bike with a narrow cockpit (which makes many handlebar bags too wide to fit between my shifter/brake cables — about a 11″ wide space max without bending the cables!).
MOST IMPORTANTLY, THIS IS THE SMALLER SIZE BAG THAT IBERA MAKES! This is very very hard to tell here, because it gives the wrong size in the product description! This is the size I wanted, but be very careful to make sure you’ve got the right size! The outer dimensions of the main portion of this bag is about 9″ x 6″ x 6″. (The exterior pockets come out a bit further
Here are my thoughts:
I didn’t use this for a camera, so the padding was not necessary but it was fine. The main compartment held sunscreen, bug spray, snacks, sunglasses, and small assorted items. The front and side pockets were useful for other camping items: a small first aid kit, a knife, some pens, etc.
The rain cover kept my things dry in a couple of significant downpours. I think it might eventually let some moisture in, but after two different 30+ minute rainstorms, my stuff was still dry. If I’d had a camera in it, I might have also put a trash bag over it, but that’s cause I fret about such things.
The mounting hardware was sturdy and kept the bag in place through the whole tour. I didn’t have terribly heavy things in the bag, but it didn’t sag at all or move even going over some nasty bumps. It was also easy to mount on the bike, though really fat handlebars may have a problem with the mounting hardware. The mounting also left plenty of space for my hands between the handlebars and the bag. As another reviewer noted, the button mechanism for releasing the mounted bag is a little tight at first, but I found that mine loosened up (or maybe I just got used to it).
I was glad to have a map window on top of the bag for my cue sheets, but it did produce some glare on sunny days and i ended up clipping a bandanna to the top on sunny days. I also wish that the front had a place to mount a front light (though I just wrapped my camping head lamp around the top of the bag when I wanted a headlight, and that worked just fine).
Overall, I was very happy with the bag, especially with its mounting system and sturdiness: It doesn’t hold a lot, though, and if I had a bigger cockpit, I might opt for the larger bag. It is an excellent little bag and a good value!

I bought this bag to carry a superzoom point/shoot, a small point shoot, and all of the various snacks and supplies needed for distance riding for a Pittsburgh>DC (GAP>C&O) ride that I’m doing in the coming weeks.
I received it about a week ago and immediately installed it. Installation is super easy and it sits out far enough in front of the bars to not interfere with cabling/shifting/bell (Trek 6000). It does block the standard-mount light I have on my handlebars, so I’m going to reinstall that elsewhere. (Minor inconvenience)
Rode about 200 miles over the past week with the bag fully loaded with my planned kit for the GAP>C&O ride. These rides included a Century ride which contained about 35 miles along the C&O Canal Towpath (a dirt/gravel trail with numerous roots/bumps along the way). The bag was impressive throughout. It is very stable even when hitting some significant bumps and does not have a significant effect on handling at the speeds I ride (14-16 mph) on the trail types I ride. It fits a LOT more gear than I’ll need for each day of the Pittsburgh>DC ride (max day is 77 miles) and fit everything I needed with room to spare on the Century.
My load for the Century:
Lumix FZ-100 Superzoom w/lens hood and extra battery
Canon Powershot SD1400IS ELPH and extra battery
5 Cliff Bars
Multitool
Hard Sunglass Case
Phone
New Trent IMP120D External Battery/Phone Charger w/USB Cables (another great product available on Amazon that I would recommend)
Cue Sheet
Keys
Fit all of this in a very logical fashion with room to spare. Access is super easy and it can be accessed while riding, so if you have a small camera and want to take shots of your riding buddies while riding next to them, you can easily get to your camera to do so (when safe, of course!). I kept the wrist strap of my ELPH sticking out between the zippers (99% closed) and when I wanted the camera, I was able to just slightly unzip the bag and get to it without any difficulty.
The clear top is great for a cue sheet/map and I imagine it would fit a phone (especially a slim line smart phone) if you want to be able to view your GPS constantly.
On a future ride when I may choose to bring an SLR rather than the Lumix/ELPH combo, I would easily be able to fit a body with an attached lens up to 135mm and 1 or 2 small wide/midrange primes and most of the other supplies I brought along for that Century.
The only two improvement I’d recommend Ibera make to this product are 1)(most important) to put more silver reflective piping on the bag, especially on the front. The sides have a decent bit, but the front has none which seems rather silly especially since it blocks a standard handlebar light, and 2) add removable cross dividers for better storage of extra lenses.
It easily gets 5 stars anyway – add those two things and this would be a 6-star product.
Highly recommended.

I have not had a chance yet to use the product as it is the dead of winter here in Canada and recreational bike trails are not open. However, the item arrived as described and appears well made with sturdy zippers and a well padded interior. The description of the product on the web site is a bit ambiguous as it lists dimensions for a medium sized and a large sized bag; the bag which arrived was the medium sized model. Personally, and for the uses I purchased it for, I prefer the smaller size as you are less likely to carry items which are too heavy. I wanted something for a week long bike tour in which I could carry valuable and other items I needed to hand quickly. For me it was my camera (a chunky compact digital camera) my mobile phone, my wallet, some snack bars and route maps. These all fit easily in the bag and I used one of the side pockets to carry the waterproof cover, leaving the large front pocket and the other side pocket free. The moveable padded divider keeps the camera snugly in place. I found I could also fit my DSLR (Fuji XT-1) in with a spare lens and still have room for my wallet and putting my mobile phone in the front pocket.
The bag clamp installed easily and seems robust, but you will need to use the larger of the two settings for the clamp arms for most road bike handlebars and you will need to buy replacement hex bolts (6 mm diameter) that are about a half again as long as those supplied. I had trouble finding them and in the end had to go to a bike shop to find a couple of stainless steel replacements. The bag seems to fit tightly, but I will have to wait until I get out on the bike paths to see if it will stand up. The map sleeve is a useful size, but it is not waterproof. The carry strap is a bit bulky for packing in the bag, so you may want to stow that in a rear carrier bag. The bag sits far enough away from the handlebar for you to be able to grip the bar easily even behind the bag and the top cover opens away from you making getting stuff out of the bag and seeing what is in it a breeze.
As an update I took the bag on a 600 km bike trip and it stood up well. I really liked the map pocket on top which was very handy keeping detailed route info easy to see at a glance. Removing the bag was a bit difficult, but it stayed on tightly when reattached and the bracket seems robust enough; even on unpaved roads the bag was held firmly in place.

I know this was designed for SLRs and being a photographer I could see that it would fulfill this role well as long as the camera was a compact SLR. I used it to carry clothes on a 6 day ride. It was my primary pack as I went without panniers. Overall the product is solid but the SLR padding on the interior of the bag took up a lot of space. I was able to fit roll up pants, a second jersey, a button down shirt and a pair of croc canvas shoes. The exterior pockets are were this bad shines. I was able to fit tubes and co2 and toiletries and electrical gear in all the outside pockets. Rain cover was a little bit of an afterthought. It worked but the fit was a bit gappy in areas. The mounting bracket fit well over 31.8 bars but the retaining strap that fits under the stem to keep the bag from slipping down was a bit under engineered. Overall the mounting was solid and worked. Overall I recommend this bag. Multiple uses and solid mounting.
