Figured out how the bell lit up (from pushing button on bottom) and the bell itself is pretty flimsy but granddaughter should like it

Took me a bit to figure out that on one of the settings, the light goes on when you ring the bell. You have to really pull the plastic tie to strap it onto the handle bar well. Hopefully it will last. My kid seems to love it.

Charges with included USB-C cable and has lights that indicate when fully charged. “Twanger” is a bit stiff so only a full “flick” will sound the bell and the bell itself is a bit flat – not much resonance.
The light ring is activated by pressing a button on the underside and you can select from solid white, a continuous cycle through red-green-blue or a continuous cycle of two blinks each of red then green then blue. When fully charged, the solid white only lasts about 45 minutes. The last two blink choices only last 10 seconds before stopping, a seemingly short time for the effort required to reach under the base to hit the button.

This bell is a mechanical bell, and really requires quite a flick of the mechanism to hear the bell loudly. It is for my young daughter, so I’m sort of glad it isn’t too loud, but someone else might like it louder. The light function is fun for kids, but not super useful. You can do white or multi color, and it needs to be charged with the included cord.

The LEDs seem a little gimmicky. They are for fun. I’m going to stick in on my commuter bike in the spring for rides to work. On trails it’s easier to use a bell than constantly barking “on your left!” The clapper for the bell is probably this light’s weakest feature. With the distance it is from the bell, you really need to flick it with your finger to get it to engage the bell. The way it’s contoured, pealing the bell frequently is going to irritate your finger. I left the bell in “constant light mode” starting with a full battery. It lasted 31 minutes (brand new, at room temperature). Charging works fine with the supplied cable into a USB port. The bell arrived with the clapper rotated a bit (on the axis of the spring). I forced it back to the correct rotation.
