I have 3 trainers now. if the Qubo is to resistant to pedaling adjust the area where the tire sits (tire has to be in center or it will be impossible to move -bolts to adjust are allen keys and located underneath. This trainer makes you work not like the other two I have (cyclops power and pro models). The Qubo isn’t that fun until your going above 8 or so miles an hour, you can’t be upright and watching utube or reading a book it won’t spin as well. It makes you work as hard as being on the road, you have to be gribbing your handlebars and feeling the adrenaline as you spin as fast as you can’t before your heart makes you slow down- which is exactly what you want when your not on the road. I hate the Qubo because I am sweating hard after a workout but I really really like, respect, and I am glad I now own this trainer, so grab some good music and take it for spin just don’t expect it’s going to be easy your not going to love it initially-but if your looking for a cheaper off season trainer it might be a great fit just give it a couple workouts before deciding and no I don’t work or get paid for writing any of this I’m just glad I tried the Qubo!

Bought this under a friends recommendation. It’s my first ever roller, normally just get out on the road but in this poor weather it’s a must!

I really like this product. Works really well. Easy you set up. Compact when not in use/stowed.

Runs quietly and very smoothly. I bought this with the tyre that is listed below the product, recommended additional purchase, apparently that’s important.

    Well worth it.

Was man sowieso vermeiden sollte.

The Elite Qubo is a basic but well thought out trainer at a compelling price. I highly recommend it for anyone who just wants a cycling workout with a minimum of fuss and investment. I purchased it to help with rehab from knee surgery but I’ll continue using it with my 700C gravel bike after I’m fully recovered.

Assembly was reasonably straightforward. It’s only necessary to bolt the resistance unit to the frame but a few aspects require some attention. First, the instructions don’t explicitly state which side the resistance unit should face but the pictures make it clear it’s the right side. There are also 2 sets of mounting holes, the forward set is used for the 45 mm roller my unit shipped with. Both the frame and resistance unit have plastic parts where they attach and the instructions are very clear about not overtightening the bolts. I used a torque wrench to get the specified 2 Nm. Be sure to use the supplied washers to spread out the load.

Fitting the bike is simple. Just screw the clamp side of the mount in or out so the mounts contact the bike when the clamp handle is about 60 degrees below horizontal. Than needs to be set only once, then just close the clamp to get it tight enough to hold the bike without overstressing the trainer frame. If you bike uses thru axles (mine does) you’ll need to get a rear axle designed for trainers. The resistance unit may need to be moved to one side or the other to center the tire on the roller, that’s done by loosening the mounting screws and moving them in their slots. Setup requires no tension adjustment since it uses your weight.

It’s not mentioned in the instructions but very important to raise the front wheel so the bike is level. Before I did that my 175 mm crank arm would hit the resistance unit. Even with the front wheel raised my shoe can hit the resistance unit if I keep my heel down too low. You can purchase a front wheel stand (not supplied with this trainer), I used a couple of 1-inch wood blocks instead.

Once set up it’s super easy to attach and remove your bike. The trainer also folds into a compact shape though it’s not particularly light.

Operation (with a Schwalbe Insider trainer tire) is smooth and extremely quiet. The loudest sound came from the well-lubricated chain running over the gears, which I can’t hear outdoors. The trainer is stable (while I’m seated, I didn’t try standing). It does not come with rubber feet but it worked well as is on my wood floor.

The resistance range was more than adequate with my gearing (48-42 front, 15-38 rear). Pedaling feels fine and effort increases with speed. The unit is rated for 540 W at 40 kph, levels I’ll never reach. The resistance unit does get warm, in warm weather I might use a fan to keep both that and myself from overheating.

I didn’t purchase the Elite Misuro B+ Sensor so I can’t comment on that. I also can’t comment on durability since I just got it.

I bought two of these. One from Ebay but it was defective and used, even though the listing said new. So I purchased from Amazon. Seller was communicative and helpful. The unit itself appears to be well made with quality materials and parts. Instructions for installation are somewhat clear though it doesn’t state that this is a 40mm roller. You have to Google to find out. Mounted the unit based on the 40mm size in the right holes per the instructions. I researched this unit and bought it because it can accommodate wheels as small as 20″ (406) because of it’s design. In general it was very promising until I actually tried to use it. It is very quiet. Much quieter than other trainers I have used.

The resistance was not as progressive as stated. It started out high and only the lowest gears would allow me to pedal. Anything else and I was literally having to post out of the saddle to get it to roll. The seller indicated that this was supposed to be normal. It was so high a resistance that it was shredding my tires. My speed dropped by more than 70% on this roller unit. I tried two different bikes on it. A regular mountain bike and a folder with 451 tires. It didn’t function anywhere close to all the video reviews I watched.
I returned it and purchased a Kurt Kinetic fluid trainer instead. Works much better with resistance that gets higher the faster you pedal. It’s a much smoother ride and close to riding outside, though it’s still harder than riding outside. It can take wheels as small as 22″.

The product is well built and works great. Does exactly what I was hoping for. Would have given it five stars except for one thing, the directions. It’s obvious that a non English speaking person wrote them and they are practically impossible to figure out. Once figured out everything else was as expected.

We have 2 Kinetic by Kurt Trainers but wanted to save $90 by getting this Elite trainer.

Big mistake !! Unstable, and very jerky when pedaling. Going back to the Kinetic
