Bike is very solid and with care should easily last until my daughter out grows it. I am pretty good mechanically and this bike took some tinkering. Everything that had bearings was extremely tight. The bars, both wheels and the pedals were overtightened and would be quite difficult to operate for someone who is learning how to bike. It may have loosened up with use, but I tweaked everything before I gifted it to my daughter. Like I said in the title, it is a great value if you don’t mind a little tinkering. It looks great and my daughter loves it!

My toddler just turned 3 and is tall, 39.5 inches, and this bike is a good fit. She can currently reach the pedals with the seat completely lowered, and still has plenty of room to grow.

As others have noted, the training wheels seem a little cheap/rickety but so far they’ve worked just fine. The bike itself appears to be sturdy and well-built. It’s one of the few that isn’t character-themed, which I like.

I love my local bike shop, and I love the popular brand name bikes of Trek, Giant, Specialized, etc, etc. But over $200 for a 16″ kids bike that is going to be outgrown quickly? I just couldn’t do it. Sight unseen, off Amazon, I bought this for my 4 year old daughter (who’s of normal size I guess for a 4 year old). It was easy to put together, just needed a small crescent wrench. I’ve got the seat pretty far down and it fits her perfectly with room to grow. I expected it to be heavier, for such a cheap price, but it’s of better quality than I expected for this price. She was immediately off and riding it around with ease. Sure, it’s not a big name brand, but it looks great, rides great, and is perfect until she outgrows it.

Bought this as a gift and it seems to be a decent bike for the price. Would have loved to support a local bike shop, but they don’t seem to carry anything nearly this affordable ($160+ for a kids bike) and the used name brand bikes are either beat up, or are being sold at near the price of a new one.

    The Good:
The bike feels sturdy and well built (it could hold a 140 pound adult without any issues)
Seat and geometry seem good for a small child (4 thru 6) I think this would be too small for a 7 or 8 year old
Sturdy and easily adjustable training wheels. It’s mostly assembled out of the box.
Came mostly assembled out of the box, and was easy to put together once you decode the instructions (Hint, ignore the manual follow the simple ones on the box, or just use common sense.)

    Neutral:
Overall quality of the bike appears a bit less than a Trek or name brand, but not in such a way that would impact a small child unless they are seriously into biking.
If your going to be that family doing 10 mile weekends then this isn’t the bike for you. If this is your neighborhood cruiser this is sufficient for the purpose.

This would be a better “Kit” if it included the tools to put it together (your going to need a socket or a wrench set) as in this mail order world most items ship with cheap included wrenches at the least.

    Bad:
The manual is pretty worthless and covers what appears to be 20 different possible bikes in different languages, this actually confuses the process especially if your not really familiar with bike terminology. It would be nice if the manual included torque specs.

The rear coaster brake seems a little weak. From my recollection you should be able to lock the wheel and skid easily on the pedal brake, this one didn’t seem to be quite that grabby.

My 4 year old who was just learning to ride a bike got this bike and the chain was tight so made the pedals difficult to push. We tried to oil the chain to loosen it up but that didn’t help; ended up having to pull the back wheel forward a little bit and that resolved that issue. The bike was then taken to a campground and risen for the first decent ride where one of the training wheels got ripped up so we had to order a new set of training wheels but now the bike seems to be working well.

Bought this bike for my daughter who’s 3. Went with 12inch wheels, which are perfect for her size! The delivery was quick! Very very easy to assemble. All around happy with the purchase! Definitely recommend.
