I bought this so I could get around faster on my campus. Since I’m also a commuter and full-time worker, I didn’t want to have to mess with a bike rack so a folding bike seems like the best choice. I ended up going with this bike because 1 – it’s cheap (please note that the —–price varies on the bike color—–. Black was the cheapest at the time of my purchase) 2 – it’s light 3 – it fit inside my car 4 – had the larger tires so let peddling for me So I bought it for myself, back in March of 2012 (it’s now Oct) I love the bike BUT there are some draw backs 1-I have a ford focus. In order to fit the bike in my car I have to take the handle bars off each time – it gets tedious 2-the paint doesn’t hold up well to wear and tear – I ended up having to lay it on its side at one point, scrapped the paint to crap 3-the bell it comes with died on my first wipe out =[ sad day 4-for those of us who are used to normal size bikes, riding it takes some getting used to. you can’t turn and peddle at the same time, as your foot will hit the tire (how I did my first wipe-out) 5-it shifts around more then I’d like in my trunk 6-for on road only, has virtually no shock system to speak of
The good: 1-very sturdy! I’m a big girl – around 170lbs (and loosing =]) this bike holds me and my book bag (~10lbs) no problem 2-well built – I’ve had a tune up and the bike store said it was one of the better folding bikes and I’ve wiped it out one it twice – the chain fell off one time but it was easily slipped back on and ready to go 3-does what it’s suppose to-folding it is easy and it’s very compact 4-gears and breaks work great 5-adding things to it is not problem -just the same as a normal bike 6-seat is adjustable/replaceable 7-can adjust height of handle bars too
It’s a great bike! I added a backpack rack to the back and haven’t regretted the purchase. It works perfect for on campus and paved trails. I’ve added a water bottle holder to the handle bars (makes it easier to fold for me versus the one that comes with it) and bought a new bell. It works great, and I don’t regret the purchase. At one point I’ll repaint it or upgrade to a better, more expensive folding bike for I get more into it.

I bought this bike for a portion of my commute to work. I work in a downtown setting and the nearest free parking is about 1 mile away. I didn’t want to have a bike rack so I sought out a different option. This bike works great and fits in the trunk of my Pontiac Grand Prix. I was hoping it would fit without loosening the handle bars, but it’s just slightly too tall without adjusting them, however, moving the handlebars only adds about 15 seconds to the process. From the time I park my car I’m on my bike and riding in less than a minute, it’s very quick and easy to fold/unfold. Also, while I like the feel of my mountain bike at home better, this foldable bike feels very solid and has a nice ride. If you’re on the fence, just buy it, you won’t be disappointed.
I’d also like to add that it was quite easy to tune. The gears shifted well with no derailleur issues. I did have to make a minor adjustment to the brakes, but I was expecting that from an unassembled bike.

I recently moved to California solo, and I immediately fell in love with the beach cruiser bike since they are soooo comfortable and pretty with all their color combinations and retro styles. Being new to the area, I also wanted the ability to explore my new surroundings by vehicle, bike, and on foot. A folding bike seemed like the perfect solution so that I could have my bike with me without anyone knowing that I have a bike. Plus, who wants to deal with a bike rack anyway? And I planned on riding frequently. So I searched high and low for a beach cruiser folding bike. The only problem is there aren’t many beach cruiser folding bikes. In fact I only found one at a nice price tag of about $700, ON SALE! I finally settled on the Columba which got pretty good reviews. It’s not a beach cruiser, but it has a similar & cute color combination, and I love the tan saddle (I ordered the purple). The saddle is also surprisingly very comfortable, as I am a full figured lady. So now, I’m going to just customize this bike to be a beach cruiser. I’ve already switched out my tires to a wider, thicker tire with two tones (brown & black) to match the saddle and handle grips. Next, I’m going to switch the handlebar to a larger beach cruiser handlebar so that I can ride in an upright position for even more comfort. Maybe I’ll even add a little brown wicker basket. Needless to say, I love this bike!!! It’s in line with the expense of a good beach cruiser, but it folds! I often take it with me to work and keep it in my trunk. I go out to explore a new location after work, bike a little there, then just pop it back in my trunk, and I’m off to eat at some new or unexplored restaurant before heading home. And no one knows it’s there! I’m so glad I didn’t pay $700 for a beach cruiser folding bike, as even with the modifications, this one will cost me a fraction of the price.
