My chain doesn’t get very dirty but I use this on a rag and use a brush every so often to clean any dirt or grime then dry and oil… I like the fact it doesn’t have a strong smell and is biodegradable…

I appreciate that this Samorillo Bicycle Chain & Component Cleaning Fluid is made in the USA, and that it is “all natural, biodegradable, non-toxic, and odorless!”
The list price is on par with other manufacturers.
I can’t say how this chain degreaser would perform on a really dirty bicycle chain because we maintain our bikes and clean them regularly, including the chains, however, this ptoduct easily cleaned the chains after a couple of long rides.
A friend mentioned that his bike is in need of a thorough cleaning, so we told him to bring it here. Afterwards, I’m sure I will have additional information to share, so I’ll update this review at that point.
For now, we’re pleased with our purchase of the made-in-the-USA Samorillo Bicycle Chain & Component Cleaning Fluid – 16oz Chain Degreaser.

Ordered this to clean my bike chain, it works decently well on cleaning the chain grease. Only complaint(not really a complaint) is I wish it comes with something to put the fluid in so I can clean it easier. I spent at least 30 mins to find something to put the fluid in.

Worked fine for cleaning my bicycle chains. I recommend using a bike chain cleaning tool with this to make it easier and more thorough. It smells like Windex, which is fine with me, and the large bottle should last me a good while.

I use a simple shaker bottle to clean my bike chains and found that this removed all the dirt and grime completely after only about a minute of shaking but did not remove any paraffin wax (hot chain wax). For me, this is a good thing since I don’t want to strip the wax until it’s really filthy. So it’s not the fluid you want if you are trying to completely strip a chain of all possible lubricants.
It has a slight detergent smell (like Dawn dish detergent) and does foam a tiny bit when shaking, although the foam completely disappears on it’s own unlike simple detergents. It’s unclear what the ingredients are in this fluid. The manufacturer also sells cleaning fluid used in robotic floor cleaners. Maybe someone discovered the same stuff works well to clean chains?
Overall it seems a little expensive IMO but perhaps eco-friendly ingredients cost more.

Oddly, I felt like I was applying mouthwash to my chain – very thin, blue fluid. There was not much (if any) foaming like some degreasing products. Degreasers do not need to foam, but manufacturers might do it so that we see the product working. My motorcycle chain doesnt get neglected, so the ‘grease’ and dirt build up was minimal. I applied to the chain and used the special C shaped, firm bristle brush and turned the rear wheel in neutral. Once done, I rinsed the chain and it looked pretty good. After drying, the chain did seem clean.
You might have the best results if using on a bicycle chain with the attachment (e.g., Park or generic) along the chainstay and you pedal the bike to move the chain through the fluid and brushes.

At least, if there’s an odor, I don’t smell it while using it.
I used it with my chain cleaner, and there’s definitely a bunch of crud that came out. It might be less effective than the Finish Line degreaser I used before, but that one smells really strongly of solvent, and is neither good for the environment or my health. It looked about as clean as using the Finish Line degreaser, and it’s a lot easier to dispose of. I can’t attest to its biodegradability or being non-toxic, but not having any smell is a big improvement.
