Padding and construction is great, but after my ride they are really difficult to remove. They are very tight. I would not order another pair.

I have spent countless hours and tried numerous gym gloves in my pursuit of perfection. After going through at least a dozen pairs, I stumbled upon the Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Gloves, and I must say, these gloves are nothing short of exceptional!

While these gloves aren’t specifically designed for the gym, they have become my go-to choice for all my workouts. The first thing that caught my attention was their impeccable fit. These gloves feel like they were custom-made for my hands. The snug yet comfortable fit ensures that they stay in place, providing a secure grip throughout my entire workout session.

The materials used in these gloves are top-notch. The construction feels robust and durable, making them a long-lasting investment. The gel padding is strategically placed, providing excellent cushioning and shock absorption, which is crucial during intense lifting sessions or high-impact activities. I appreciate how the gloves protect my hands without compromising on flexibility and dexterity.

One of the standout features of the Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Gloves is their versatility. I initially purchased them for cycling, but I quickly realized they excel in other activities as well. Whether I’m hitting the weights, practicing yoga, or engaging in various cardio exercises, these gloves consistently deliver outstanding performance.

Despite not being designed specifically for the gym, these gloves have exceeded my expectations in every way. They provide the perfect combination of comfort, protection, and durability that I was seeking. The fact that they have stood the test of time with regular use only reinforces their exceptional quality.

To conclude, if you’re like me and have been on an endless quest for the perfect gym gloves, look no further. The Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Gloves offer an unparalleled fit, remarkable materials, and exceptional durability. I can confidently say that these gloves deserve a solid 5-star rating. Give them a try, and you won’t be disappointed!

Note: While these gloves work wonders in the gym, I recommend checking out Pearl Izumi’s dedicated gym glove line for specific gym-related needs.

Only put a few miles on these gloves. Fit and finish are excellent. The lightweight fabric upper is cool and comfy. My hand is generally a Large (runs on the smaller size of that). The gloves fit me snug but not too tight. However, the opening at the wrist is quite small. If your hands run in the middle to upper range of a large glove, I recommend you go up a size.

I’m pretty much a daily e-bike rider and average about 30 miles when I go out. The previous gloves I had (a different brand and non-gel) frayed badly, flattened and began to fall apart after just two weeks. These are about a month old and are still strong and firm like day one. They are very snug (a good thing), go on easy but a bit of a struggle to remove. Recommended.

Update 7/23: After several washings the gloves have held up well. Still fit snug and have become easier to put on and take off.

Let me start off by addressing things I’ve read in myriad glove reviews. Firstly, cycling gloves, gel or not, are NEVER going to stop your hands from getting numb on a long ride. If your hands get numb, this generally means there’s just too much pressure on your hands, for too long and gloves won’t save you from this fate. On average, the only way to fix or mitigate numbness is to change your hand position on the bars often and/or, change your overall position on the bike. The latter is normally accomplished by moving your saddle slightly forward or changing your stem length. Either of these can impact multiple things, so you really need to take some care when going down this route. Try moving your saddle by a small amount first but make sure your leg position on the down stroke is still efficient. See if this helps the numbness. If so, you can start going further down this rabbit hole but you should consult a bike fitter. Secondly, cycling gloves are meant to be very snug. Not so much as to inhibit circulation but tight fitting on your hand. They aren’t meant to be removable by just sliding your hand out effortlessly. Finally, for the money, these are very good gloves. I have three sets of them and rotate through them during each week. They are well made and comfy. I also like some Castelli gloves too BUT they don’t seem to last as long as the Pearl Izumi Elites and they cost a little more.

What a disappointment! These gloves are more expensive than others listed but they sure do seem inferior. Padding is non existent. Not sewn together well. They were already shredding in places. Tiny thin Velcro strap. Hard to put on worse to take off.

hand surgeon recommended bikers gloves after a recent palm surgery, we both agreed these haven’t got the gel we thought we’d get for the 104.00 price tag. I have purchased 20.00 gloves of better all around quality than these. very disappointing.**update** unlike most other returnable items on Amazon postage is paid unfortunately this vendor only provides the return address label and you have to pay postage to return, and an entire second page outlining return policies around the item to qualify for a return, i’ll update once again when i receive my refund.

These are stylish, comfortable, and sturdy gloves. They’re easy to slide on and off the hands, and of course easy to strap on.
I had hand pain from long bike rides, and my hands were being torn up between the sun exposure and gripping the handlebars. These gloves did fix these issues for me, and I’m not bothered by wearing them in the summer either. Of course, I can’t write this review without mentioning the built-in snot rag. Whoever invented this is genius and deserves a medal. The gloves are worth it just for being able to efficiently wipe away the sweat and snot from long rides! Just know that it doesn’t do a very good job at keeping my hands warm in the winter. Then again, if I wanted to do that, I would have bought the closed finger version of these gloves.
I would certainly recommend this to intermediate-level riders who plan to commute or hit the trails!
