I got the XLs and they fit easily over my US size 11 road shoes. The covers are warm and waterproof, although by the end of a 2-hour ride in 35f/+2c weather my feet are usually cold.

Road in the 30’s today, no issue getting cold.
They appear well made, but over-priced, especially considering they made in China. At nearly $170.00, shouldn’t be shopping the globe for slave labor and utilizing building standards that we in the west, would find intolerable.
They do run small I should note. I have small feet, mens 81/2 and size medium, that of which I ordered, were way to small, the large fits very snug.
One consideration for an improvement, is Castelli should consider reinforcing the right side on the inside of the heal to protect against abrasions that may occur while pedaling and inadvertently coming in contact w/the chainring.

Love the style and materials. I am concerned that the zipper will be a problem. When sliding the cover over the heel with the zipper open and then trying to start the zip there is a tendency for the zipper to mis-align on the zip up and then not re-align on the zip down. the cover fits well and works as described.

I bought these for those chilly winter days, and they didn’t disappoint. Would recommend especially since I had previously tried other (cheaper) brands in the market.

They seem to be really well made. The problems I have is how even the Large is stupid tight over my shoes. As in Im afraid the zipper will bust every time I put them on, and when I do get them on, right where the shoe ends at the ankle the cover sucks back in drastically to your heel and rubs a bit. The other problem I have, which isn’t really the products fault, is that with Specialized road shoes I use, the cover doesn’t cover the air vents on the bottom of the shoe at the toes. which means if you use those shoes you will get some cold air right up into your shoes. For the price, I dont think I would buy these again. There are so many other options out there for 1/3rd of the cost.

I replaced my 10-year old Pearl Izumi thermal shoe covers with these Castelli Estremos, and it was a great move! These Estremos fit well and keep my feet really warm. The water resistant outers and insulated liners keep my feet warm in 0-15 Fahrenheit. They are easy to get on and off, which was my only concern with a partial zipper. I highly recommend the Castelli Estremo Shoe Cover for cold-weather riding. I’m a 13.5, and wear a XXL.
