The pictures in the manual are impossible to see because they are in black and white on gray pages. After wasting 30 minutes unboxing everything and screwing in the stubborn seat, i noticed parts were missing. Immediately returning this item.

An absolutely amazing bike. I’ve been riding it for a couple months for work. I take it to bike trails as well. I have no issues with it so far. Runs fine and smooth. Very light and easy to handle.

Aside of a broken chain guard and broken front brake. I got an amazing value from this open box deal. Thank you Amazon

I’ve had this bike a month and only ride it a mile to and from work. The left peddle has already stripped from the crank arm and will cost a lot to replace. I like the bike but this is a huge issue for me.

This bike does a few things well! The gear ratio is great for flat ground, and isn’t too difficult for some good long uphills. It’s reasonably light, given that it’s made of below average steel. The brakes hardly work and when they do they squeal…. Like wakeup the neighborhood sequel… Probably because they decided to apply the same paint to the rim braking surface as the wheel and didn’t bother to sand down a place for the pads to bite in. The bottom bracket is a very rudimentary loose BB with 2 caged bearings that needs to be opened, cleaned, re-greased, and propely tightened. Tires are a good width with decent tread. The bike as a whole does not offer much in the way of shock absorbtion so your hands/wrists will get sore if you don’t practice loosen your grip. Seat is hard a as rock, but pretty common for most stock seats

I’m very happy with my purchase. I was already set to go take it to a bike shop to get it set up. After reading some reviews I gathered it would be a fairly easy job to possibly do myself. Turns out, it was.

To assemble the bike all you pretty much need to do is the front wheel, the handlebars, and pedals. So easy a caveman can do it.

Three bike looks Amazing. Skinny tires. Not heavy at all. I would buy again. But why would I if I already have this one.

    Anywho, buy it.

-Seat is as hard as a brick.
-Brakes do not work at all and squeal so loud, the entire neighborhood will know your braking.
    -No kick stand
    -Cheaply made

    Avoid.

The bike is great. I was bummed that it didn’t come with a flip flop hub like the description indicated. It’s a single speed, not a fixed gear.

I wrote an initial review back in May but wanted to update it to highlight just how great this bike is. I have been riding this bad boy on 20 mile rides and it has helped with my overall strength because it is single speed. I continually pass $10,000 road bikers in their spandex and go along my merry single speed way. It’s a great bike, take your time putting it together, patience is key.

I live in boston so I get maybe 5 months of good biking weather. I bought this bike to commute to work which is a 3 mile ride that is flat. When I received the bike, I was missing parts. I got possibly 4 months of bike actual bike use and within it I experienced a tire pop, the chain popping off, and then following this my chain breaking and now my handlebars shaking while riding, which I already tightened everything. I went to a bike repair shop and they pointed out that my tires need to be rebuit because there is no tension to hold the riders weight (explaining why my tire popped) and the chain was extremely poor quality. Not only this but I was surprised when they said that the headset needed to be redone because it wasnt made correctly, which is why I was experiencing shaking when riding. Overall, this bike is garbage. There are much better bikes you can buy for the 200-300 range.
Do not buy this bike, It is extremely dangerous for the rider.

UPDATE: Over the last (almost) year and a half I have ridden this bike thousands of miles, all year round, in all weather/road conditions imagineable in Chicago, including through blizzards, black ice, thunderstorms, gravel, sand, etc. It wouldnt be unreasonable to think I had been trying to break it at times!

It hasnt been perfect but if you are comfortable with some basic maintenence and repair this is still an excellent bike. I paid $160 (60% off!) for a used one that only had packaging damage. Deals for used bikes pop up pretty often from Amazon Warehouse and I absolutely recommend anyone thinking of buying to check for those first!

Some of the original components of this bike were substandard and anyone buying should be aware that upgrades will be needed. To give you an idea of what work might need to be done to keep this bike rolling, here’s a breakdown of all the upgrades/replacements I’ve done, excluding tubes and chains:

RIGHT BRAKE HANDLE snapped after about 4 months, replaced once.

FREEWHEEL malfunctioned after 6 months, coasting when peddaling forwards just like it does backwards. I put a fixie sprocket on the other side of the hub and have been using that exclusively since with no issues.

2 Spokes on front wheel became unattached after 6 months and were replaced. Several other people have mentioned inconsistent spoke tension, easy to detect and fix but be aware this is something to pay special attention to immediately.

Caliper brakes are being replaced today, have been impossible to tighten down since about 8 months in, so they’ve been functional but wobbly.

Brake pads wore down after 1 year and were replaced.

Bottom bracket developed play gradually over time, finally got to the point of needing replacement after 15 months.

Chainwheel was bent after about a year, probably from the bike falling over on a curb. Replaced recently. This was user error but be aware the factory chainwheel is somewhat fragile compared to others so be cautious.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:
This bike is tall! If you’re not familiar with bike sizing just be aware that a 6′ tall person will be barely tall enough to clear the top tube.

Took about 30 mins to set up, materials look and feel cheap but seem sturdy enough for casual riding. The gear ratio is a bit lower than I’d prefer but that makes it very easy to peddle, just not super fast.

I didn’t have to adjust the brakes at all, nor did I have a problem with the quality of the brake pads as many of the reviews on here mention.

I had a little difficulty getting the front wheel installed: one of the dropouts on the fork seemed like it had been slightly twisted or pinched, maybe damaged in transit so it took a lot of effort before it snapped, not slid, into place. It works fine and isn’t out of alignment so minor setback.

I’ve only taken it for one ride so far, had zero performance issues.

It rides smoothly, which is what matters, but the best thing about this bike is that, because the price is low, it leaves you a budget to upgrade whatever you’d like.

Seat screws were missing, front wheel was loose. Rear tire tube had a puncture. Bike feels very unsafe because of head tube and handle bars are loose. Do not recommend. On a design note, the front sprocket is too large, and because of this it is difficult to ride even on a mild incline. Front sprocket should have 4 or 5 less teeth.
