Not a bad set but some pieces are poor quality. First time I used the chain break (chain rivet remover) the retaining tab on it broke. It’s pot metal and has no strength. The wrench’s are stamped metal and are weak and can bend easy. Other pieces have held up well like the crank and crank set removers. It is a handy kit, but just expect some tools in this kit won’t last past the first or second use.

Good set for most repairs and maintenance on older bikes (2010 or earlier I don’t have anything later).

You get what you pay for and I didn’t expect much at the price point. I will say it exceeded my expectations. Value is great, while some of the items being of lower quality. I would highly suggest not using the bottom bracket tool and use a higher quality one as to not damage your BB. But everything else has worked just great. Oh, and lubricants the threads in your crank puller before use. Other than that, excellent bang for your buck.

Not only is the case sturdy, but the tools themselves are also well built and, in at least one case, cleaver, namely how the tire levers snap into each other to keep them together and compact before storage.

Caveat: I have not yet used these to do the work they’re intended, I bought them just to have on hand should I need them.

There are a lot of tools in this kit but they are extremely flimsy and weak. Very low quality tools. The chain whip bent the first time I used it and I was just holding it by hand trying to loosen a cassette. I don’t know if there is much in this kit that is actually usable in the real world. I am a professional mechanic, maybe I expected too much out of a $70 tool kit but I feel that the entire kit is basically useless.

I had been looking at bike tool sets for a few months, and am so glad I waited long enough for this one to come along. What set this tool set apart for me was that it included a cable cutter and was well under $100. I’m not sure why more entry level tool sets don’t come with bike specific cable cutters – generic cutters are just not the same. I’ve only used a few of the tools from the set so far, but am so impressed by the quality and thoughtful design. I recently used the tire levers to wrestle some stubborn new tires onto my rims. The levers are heavy duty and held up perfectly. I like that they give you 3 of them, and that the levers have notches to keep them on the spokes. Even the common tools like the Allen wrenches in this set are optimized for bike repairs. The Allen wrenches have a ball end, which makes it so much easier to quickly tighten bolts at an angle – super useful for tasks in tight spaces like setting up a cockpit or installing a bottle cage. The overall presentation of this set (branding, case, and packaging) is also excellent and very professional looking. It looks like it could have easily been bought from a bike shop and I would not hesitate to give it as a gift.
