I’ve given this a try based on its popularity with the biking community.
Having no prior experience with the product, I tried to pretty much follow the manufacturers recommended instructions for application.
I started with new chains, my bike requires nearly 3 full chains.
Soaked them in mineral spirits overnight, dried, cleaned and rinsed again with clean ms, dried with a microfiber cloth and pressurized air – then hung to air dry overnight.
I have only used petroleum based chain lubricants in the past and wanted to experiment to hopefully
    find a cleaner alternative.
    Initial impressions are;
1- Application is a bit messy. I did apply it very
liberally, coated heavily – allowed it to soak
+-30 mins then removed the excess with a
    microfiber cloth.
2- Slow drying. Based on my results, curing
overnight would be the absolute minimum
and the chain was still a little tacky the next
    evening.
3- after heavily treating almost 3 full length
chains, Ive not put much of a dent in the bottle
and would expect the amount of lube provided
to very easily last a full riding season or more.

After 3 days, the lube is well bonded and any of
the tacky – stickiness is all but gone now and if I
were riding unpaved or very dusty trails, I
would have been afraid to expose the chain
before allowing it to cure this long.
I havnt gotten to take a real ride since treating the chain but after the 8-10 mile break-in ride, the chain remains clean with no “sling, or cast off” material on the frame, so I am still hopeful this could be the product I am searching for.

Apply to a clean degreased chain for effective results (as instructed)

I purchase mid September. I’ve put 550km after initial application and finally heard some chain noise today.

The video above is after the 550km and a simple soap (all purpose) and brush. There was the slightest amount of dirt on the chain – few fibers/dust, otherwise it was near zero build up or darkening. The 550km were logged on paved river trail with packed gravel sections along the way. These were done on mostly dry days. Had a couple rides where it was misty and had moisture on the trail, but no rain over that distance.

Take the time to properly degrease your chain and this dry wax will live up to its claims. Otherwise, expect the issues others have described with dark chain and build up.

My results probably would have been better if I took the chain off and did even more to clean chain. I’d say I was around 95% degreased overall.

As mentioned – quick soapy wipe down to gears and chain and time to reapply. Whole process was maybe 5-10min after my morning ride?! Letting it sit as suggested overnight and it’ll be ready to hit the road tomorrow.

I never noticed chain any louder than when it was lubed as some suggest. Shifting was smooth, accurate and strong in all situations. I’ll reapply sooner than 550 going forward, but wanted to see the limits for my area and rides.

A cleaner chain and gears make this worth it. Performance is great. Cleaning a breeze. Application super easy. No complaints overall. Just do the prep work!!

It wasn’t as expensive as a lot of the others. It’s easy to put on because of the size and shape. Worked great but only used it once. So far so good.

Easy to apply, keeps chain in good shape, and makes general cleaning easy. It’s pretty much all I use now. There is some build-up but it’s easily brushed off. A few spins of the cranks with a cloth after a ride is all I really need to do. I do apply it more often than typical lube. I recommend watching/reading tips for applying and maintaining.

Prima volta con un lubrificante di questo tipo e devo dire che è veramente ottimo anche sulla mtb, dura molto e lubrifica bene.

Never tried a lube like this before. It’s amazing. Preparation is the key:

    1) Used a degreasing tool (pork tool chain cleaner) first. Ran the chain through it twice. Then
    2) Took my chain off and degreased it by soaking/shaking it, scrubbing it (with a clean brush), repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat. Did that until there was essentially no dirt/grease coming off. Did the same thing with my cassette and chainrings….. scrub, scrub, wash, rinse, scrub, wash, rinse……
    3) rinse/soak/shake chain with water. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
    4) dry everything with hair dryer. Repeat. Repeat.
+++[Totally clean and dry chain +++….. next: put chain back on bike and…….
    5) Applied Squirt to inside of chain. Let sit for 5 minutes. Did again. And waited 2 hours.
    6) applied again and let sit overnight.
    7) wiped off outside of chain
Now, since this was the first application, I did steps 5, 6, and 7, the next day and the next. I wanted to “load” the wax into the chain.
When complete, the chain was smooth, tack free but waxy.

Took my bike for a ride and it was literally soundless. Amazing. My “multi-day-wax-pre-load” used about 20% of the bottle. Call it $3 – an immaterial amount. But likely not needed. I am hoping to get a solid 100-150 miles in daily commuting here in Denver before needing to reapply ONE coat. Then another 150 miles before applying another coat. Etc. We’ll see.

After one ride the chain is clean, silent, and perfect. And I’m a “wax lube” convert.

Amazing product that works a long time and adds life to your chain. I’m hooked on this product for the rest of my riding days.

I no longer mess with oily, dirty chains. Squirt gives me a smooth drivetrain and lasts for several long rides. I can wipe the chain down with a rag, throw it in the washing machine and it comes clean. Great all around product.

  12. Fishman’s mumu

Cycling for over 20 years and have used many chain lubes. This is a great product. Works very well and lasts a while on chain. Easy to apply. I’m sold on this product. Only con is that it will drip from container if held upside down without squeezing – like dozens of other lubes. Will absolutely purchase again
