Overall rating based on the price point; at the < $175 this is a solid choice for a fluid indoor bike trainer. There are much better fluid trainers on the market, but at this price point this is a good quality trainer. If you find it on sale that is a bonus.
Despite the sparse assemble directions, it goes together smoothly and you can be riding quickly after unpacking. The front legs cannot be fully extended to the locked position if you have a 29″-er, but it still rides steady, and it is stable getting on and off. If you over extend the legs the 29″ wheel will hit the mat and you will grind down your tire and hear much more noise. For 26″, 27.5″ and 700’s the fully extended legs should not be an issue. (It works fine for 29″-ers, just check your tire clearance regularly if it is placed on a soft mat).
I wanted the ability to ‘grind’ at a steady pace and this works perfectly to add some resistance for a long steady pace. It is not silent, but not disturbingly loud — I measured the sound at ~73 db on my Apple Watch running at about 70 rpm. That is equivalent to a vacuum cleaner, and that sounds about right.
Edit: Some additional information about the noise level – the tire I am using is a knobby all-terrain tire so that adds to the noise level. A smooth tread tire will be quieter.

Unfortunately I Fractured my ankle a few months back. Cycling is low impact, and a recommended exercise to get range of motion back, and was definitely something I wanted to be first to get back to when healed / able to. So I started to look at stationary options for recovery (which was going to be temporary). Since stationery’s take up alot of room and are expensive, and other fluid traiers at local stores where in the $450-$750 range, I took a chance and purchased this. I set it up beside my wife’s rower in the basement. Super easy to set up, Noise level is adequate and expected for a fluid trainer with the road tires I have. It’s also very sturdy once set up. I’m 6 ft 200lbs and have zero issue with movement or feeling unsteady. Bike stays were it is and there’s no wobble etc (it is set up on a carpet) Now that I have it, and it’s as sturdy as it is, I’ll use this in the winter as part of our workouts now as well. I’m Super happy with this purchase.

I’m fairly new to cycling. I mostly ride on pavement, but I live on a dirt/gravel road which intersects with another dirt/gravel road I have to navigate before I can even get to the pavement, so I bought an off-road bike with 29″ wheels. For the last few months I’ve been enjoying the heck out of riding. I live in southern Arizona which has a Monsoon season in the summer, which is why I bought the trainer.
I unpacked the trainer, and the hardware was all there and of good quality. The instructions about how to assemble the thing? Bad to horrible. If it weren’t for YouTube and what I remembered seeing at the bike shop I may never have been able to get the bike attached to the stand. I was also a little worried that my off-road tires would not work with it, but they do with no problem. The actual use of the trainer has been interesting. It very well mimics actual riding, but with a lot more sweating because there’s no breeze. And—this is important if you have an off-road bike—the sound the rear tire makes while contacting the roller is EXTREMELY loud. My idea for training was to watch TV while doing it, which I can do as long as I’m wearing headphones with the volume turned way up. I also had to buy a fan!
Overall, though, I’m very satisfied and would buy it again.

I bought this Bike Trainer because I have not been able to take my road bike out due to the extreme heat here in the South West. I wasn’t expecting to like it that much being indoors and such but this was a great buy and I am so happy I own this. It is easy to set up and hooks up great. There were reviews on here on how loud this is but honestly it is not there is the noise of your bike of course spinning but other than that I found it not noisy at all. It sets up very secure and cycling is a breeze with this. I’m happy I purchased it!

I purchased this as part of my recovery after a total knee replacement surgery 3/months ago. It’s been a god send, being in my kitchen means I can just get on it and cycle for 10 mins whenever I want to. At first I just got used to rotating the peddles, after a week or so I was able to add a little resistance by tightening up the wheel on the back. There is a little bit of noise but there is going to be as the bike wheel goes against the shaft.
For a mid range product I would highly recommend this item.

This fluid trainer is very loud. After reading the product description, I was unsure if I should be hearing anything except my bike. It was easy enough to assemble and is sturdy–I do not fear going Rodney Dangerfield into a Christmas Tree. Otherwise, I’m not the biggest fan.
The description on Amazon said: “The fluid resistance wheel eliminates obnoxious, distracting whirring, you can work out any time of the day without disturbing those around — your girlfriend, dog, and disgruntled neighbors.” Not true in my particular experience.
The wheel itself is overpowering in terms of sound; it almost sounds like an engine revving up. Additionally, this vibrates everything around me. The floor vibrates so much I can feel and hear it while riding on it. I’ve placed extra towels underneath to no avail.
I will likely email customer support or just return it all together.

I recently purchased the sportneer fluid bike and it seized up the first week. Made so much noise i couldn’t use it. Wow. However, through Amazon’s great return program I decided to exchange it for a new one. The new one came. I put it together easily but warning it comes with no instructions. And this one works great. Quiet, solid, stable. Tension is ok
I suggest shifting to higher gear for more resistance. I especially like how quick the bike detaches and ready to ride.
Great for warmups
Great for cardio
Why buy a new exercise bike?
Just put your old bike on and go
Good price point
