We chose this model because my wife is only 5’1” tall and this model is very good for her. Assembly of this trike was much more labor intensive than the first, starting with the requirement to remove the shipping axel and replacement with the proper one. I really think this step could be eliminated. Assembly of this trike is basically the same as any other. The included assembly manual is very instructive and well written. Once again, take your time and follow the instructions.

My grandson is unable to ride a regular bike and he is too old for training wheels. He loves riding this bike and is so proud of himself that he can now ride a big bike. I tried it out and it does take a little bit of maneuvering around turns from a regular bike if that is what you are used to riding. My grandson who is 10 years old doesn’t have any problem with it. I’ve received a lot of compliments on it as I do live in a neighborhood that is mostly seniors. I did take it to my local bike store for assembly and it was ready the next day and you do need a truck to transport it. My grandson loves to put his stuffed animals in the back basket and give them a ride with him!

So, despite all the nightmares I’ve read about instruction and sturdiness, my bikeologist easily put this together without even glancing at the instructions! We found them hiding in the box later ^_^ Not only that but he pointed out two things: 1) the bike was extremely well packed and the travel axels serve this purpose; 2) a little grease goes a long way to make piecing things together smooth. He also stated that everything fit together/lined up perfectly and he didn’t have to force it at all. I watched to be sure and he really did seem to be enjoying himself. Still, while I have experience putting together several children’s bikes, I’m glad I chose a pro since I didn’t at first with my e-bike and that made me cry while struggling with it.
Aside from assembly, the bike is beautiful, sturdy and just the right size for me! I’m really glad I made this purchase!
The assembly through Amazon is overpriced and has poor customer service though so I’d suggest finding a shop or mobile specialist in town.

I took this to a bike shop. Impossible to put together as an amateur. Before you buy, add approximately $200 for the assembly of the trike unless you are very familiar with bikes. Once assembled, a very good trike. My dog loves riding in the basket.

Nice little trike, fairly reasonable price though local bike shop has one for $50 more, only problem is they are back ordered so if you want a trike NOW, this is is. Had to replace the derailleur and even with that we still don’t have full access to all gears as weld for the derailleur base attachment is poor. All other welds are moderate but work. All in all, for the very casual cyclist or someone with poor balance this is a good buy.
