    I’m on here because I’m looking to bedazzle this helmet with Hot fix rhinestones. It has lost almost all of its bright color in about a year. I thought maybe I should just buy a new one – but the rhinestones are cheaper. Hopefully the manufacturer will take note. Fits great, loved the hot pink, but like a dollar store Barbie

    For 90% of riders, this is the perfect helmet. Lightweight, comfortable, certified and a great price.

    The light is a great feature for riding at night. It is nicely integrated into the helmet itself. If you only ride in daylight you can save a few dollars and get the one without the light.

    I have purchased several Schwinn helmets. Quality of construction is as good as any of the others unless you go for the super high end stuff. I would say it is more comfortable and fits better than many more expensive helmets I have tried. Good range of adjustments.

    Quick delivery and great helmet. I love that it has the light built in and the bright color helps me to be seen easier when riding. Adjustable band makes it easy to wear a lightweight hat when it’s cold. Great product!

    Well, it protected my head very well from a crash, so as far as protection goes, this helmet is great. Its very comfortable for a $35 helmet. The LED is a great feature and is very bright and noticeable for those behind you.

    My teen received this while I was away and called to inform me the light didn’t work. He tried what he could but to no avail. I told him there was usually a plastic tab to prevent the batteries from turning on…he said he didn’t see one. He waited until I returned, then we tried again and finally got a new set of 2032 batteries to replace the ones that came with the helmet…surprise, the light worked!
    I docked one star from the review because of the unexpected/added cost of replacement batteries.

    I needed a couple of adult helmets (no sniggering at the back!), because my old helmet had started to deteriorate (I said NO SNIGGERING! YES YOU!). Anyway…. I needed a hel..cycle hat… that could accommodate many different heads without it being painful.. OK, WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING ABOUT? BEHAVE! Honestly….

    The plastic it’s made from is very sturdy and the ribs and cross-pieces are very thick. It’s not going to split when you take a tumble. Plus, the material’s not too brittle like some cheaper ones that will fracture if it’s dropped, leaving little flakes of plastic everywhere. All in all, the helmet’s is very well constructed.

    The light at the back is operated by pushing the red refractor lens in. Essentially the whole light is a switch. That makes it nice and easy to push without needing to grasp for a little button inside the helmet itself.

    The visor on the front is a little flimsy, and I’d worry if I dropped it from 6′ onto the peak, but it’s survived a few tumbles and it’s got no marks, so I guess it’s solid enough.

    For the price, these are excellent helmets. I’d prefer a little more padding on the inside, to be honest. Although the polystyrene in the unit will crunch when you take a fall, it’d be nice to have a little more cushioning inside, like some of the really expensive helmets, but the little sticky felt pads are serviceable and easy to place.
