it’s loud enough, but almost sounds like the default iPhone sound

I bought 2 of these, having purchased a different brand before that broke in a couple days I wanted to have a back up, in case it broke. I used one fire about a week until the spring got bent. I threw the second one on and tried to be careful with it, about 2 weeks is all I got out of the second one before it started coming apart and the spring got bent. The look and finish of this bell are very nice. The durability could be improved.

I have a mini ebike with a horn but it’s such a loud and obnoxious sound I feel embarrassed using it. I bought another basic bell but it took up too much space and couldn’t fit it along with my phone. This solved the problem completely, it tiny and takes up only about an inch of handlebar space and the sound is loud enough and not obnoxious at all. A little pricey but worth it.

This is a great little bell with a low profile design. It has a nice, loud and crisp ringing sound. The bell fits securely on my bicycle handlebars without feeling bulky or obtrusive. The form factor is really nice – it’s compact and doesn’t look out of place on my bike. Overall, I’m very pleased with this bell and would recommend it.

I live in the mountains where mtb trails (unfortunately) aren’t directional, which has lead to some pretty bloody bike crashes. Having some type of bell is really kind of critical in my area. I’ve got 3 mountain bikes and 2 road bikes. These bells won’t fit on my road bikes (due to the design of my carbon bars) so I have no experience with them for road use. I’ve got them on a couple of my mountain bikes and do use them frequently. I don’t think these things really look great, but they work pretty well. People can hear me from around 1/10th of a mile away and unlike some other (cheap) bells I’ve used, these have held up to some pretty rugged rides. I’ve only got one real downside to these and it might be a deal-breaker for some mountain bikers. I’ve got a Timber (branded) bell on my full-suspension mtb, and that bell can be switched to just rattle & make sound constantly (i.e. every bump you hit will rattle the bell to basically make constant noise, especially on a downhill). When I’m flying downhill (even on an XC ride) I’ll let the Timber just rattle constantly–you’d have to be deaf to not hear that thing. Everybody on the trail is going to know you’re barrelling towards them with that bell. The Rockbros. bell requires you to actually flick the spring to get it to sound. And you won’t be able to constantly flick it if you’re barrelling downhill. You MIGHT hit it a few times at strategic points, but it’s designed more to alert people you can SEE. It isn’t the type of bell you can basically unlock in order to create constant noise. But what I’m describing is a fairly niche use scenario. Ultimately, these are pretty decent little bike bells that make enough noise when you flick the spring and that is really all most people require. If you’re an urban cyclist or a parent considering buying these for a kids bike–I think these are great. They’ve held up far better than cheap bike bells I’ve purchased previously.

The media could not be loaded.

Finally someone makes a bell that checks all the boxes.

    1. it’s low profile and doesn’t take up a lot of real estate on your bars. check..
    2. Is loud. Yes it’s very loud and has a really long decay. Like super long. check..
    3. easy to mount…Yes it is. check..
    4. sturdy.. check..
    5. Most important… It fits in that gap between the XT/XTR brakes that have the brace that rest on the bar and the part that holds the lever. It takes some careful positioning and and a little patients to get it through there but it does fit just barely. It does not get in the way of my dropper lever either.. see pics.

I have incredibells, and all their knock off, knogs, other ones.. They all stink compared to this bell. This thing is a home run.

If I was going to deduct anything from this is that it’s a flick to ring, but I don’t care.. It’s so loud and low pro that I don’t care.

    Home Run.

  9. Calli

High pitched sound, travels more distance to alert pedestrians & other vehicles from far. Time will tell how sturdy is the buckle to hold it on handlebar & also the spring attached with the hammer.

Ring quality is a high pitch that echos through the moumtain for oncoming traffic. Durability is high, design is sleek and functional. Very happy.

I picked this up to add to my commuter bike, and I was impressed by how loud the bell actually is. It’s easy to use, all you do is flick the hammer back, and it rings loud enough that anyone will hear you coming. It feels like a sturdy product–it fits snugly on your bars, and seems like it could take a hit.
Unfortunately I can no longer use the bell, as it’s too small for my new drop bars, but I would definitely buy another if they made a larger size.

The ROCKBROS bell is outstanding! It installs easily and its stealthy look disguises that it’s a bell. I don’t know why some reviewers claim it’s not loud because it’s louder than any bell I’ve ever owned that came from Specialized or Trek. Just give the little spring-mounted button a pull and release and the bell rings out crisply and keeps ringing for a time. Like any bell, your hand will mute the ring if you touch it while it’s ringing, but if you keep your hands away it rings perfectly. I’m very pleased with this bell and will transfer it to any new bikes I get.

UPDATE: I sold my Specialized bike and forgot to remove the bell before the buyer came to pick it up. He asked, “What’s this?” pointing to the bell. I told him what it was and said I’d remove it (kicking myself for not doing so earlier) but after he heard the bell he said to leave it installed. Goodbye, ROCKBROS bell. I just bought another one to go on my new Trek Rail. These are outstanding bells. Just remember to remove yours when selling your bike so you’ll have it for your next bike . . .
