This is the third pair of these shorts I have purchased. They provide good padding and durability.

This is my first pair of Pearl Izumi’s. I’ve had several other brands that were decent. I heard great things about Pearl Izumi so I figured I would give them a shot. I’m 5’9″ 175lbs and wear a medium in just about everything. I ordered a medium like usual and was super excited when I got them. The material felt great, the padding seems adequate, and the quality was all what I was expecting. I go to try them on and can’t even get them up over my thighs. I thought okay they’re supposed to be tight but I can’t manage this. I returned them and ordered a size up, no big deal. I get the size large and again I’m excited to try them out. I go out for 10 mile road ride, which I typically do three times per week. Around the halfway point my groin is in pain and my butt starts going numb. I will give them another shot but so far I am not impressed. The padding definitely seems thinner than some of my other pairs and not as supportive. Personally they seem a bit long for my preference and they feel like they are sliding down my leg the further I get into my ride. They don’t have any pockets either which isn’t a big deal but would be nice. I was expecting more but at least they came at a decent price.

Bike shorts prices has gone through, lots of unknown brands/sizes. This one is like a pair I purchased 10 years ago at 1/3 the price

I usually wear a large, but these shorts were extremely tight, so size up ! I thought the quality of the padding & the stitching was poor.

The media could not be loaded.

I’m 6’1” and weigh about 220 so in biking terms I’m a giant blob. That being said these shorts fit nicely and were actually loose on the front. Wore these on a century ride and learned that the padding is on the thin side but I also have an unforgiving seat.
All in all the fit is loose and these will be my stationary in house shorts but for outdoor rides the lack of pockets is a deal breaker.

These are incredibly well priced for the quality. I usually ride every day so these are a great buy personally. The part I really like is the good long length. They also don’t ride up, so you won’t be yanking on them during the whole ride.

They fit, they cushion, they work. Only issue I had was my chonies bunched up one time (TMI). But the type of spandex used is pretty good. Not slippery on the saddle, but not exactly sticking either. I’ve had these about a month and they do show some light wear. But for the price, if you get 6-8 months from them with intense long distance riding, you definitey got got you money’s worth. I wound up buying 4 sets. Totally worth it.
