I bought this wrench to adjust the locknut on the front of side-pull calipers (Dia-Compe 883). For years I just wrestled with the outer bolt to adjust the brakes. But this slim 2 mm thick wrench allows you to hold the thin jam nut to adjust your brakes perfectly. My brake arms now have almost zero play on the pivot bolt, yet move easily and smoothly. Best tuned brakes I’ve ever had. The wrench will be used rarely, but the perfectly tuned brakes will be used often. Worth getting, and would buy again.

This wrench fits well into the tight space between the frame and the brake and with the assortment of sizes on this tool it should work for a variety of brakes. PARK tools are always pricey and this wrench is no exception

I bought it for a skinny nut that needed my attention. It fit. But, I was afraid to put some heavy torque to it. I’ll have to rethink my strategy to remove that troublesome nut.

Centering a sidepull brake is a pain, unless you have the right wrench. I couldn’t find mine (whoever borrowed it, could you please send it back?). So I got this to replace it. By Park standards, it’s pretty basic — just a flat piece of stamped metal. But the ends are well machined and it fits most of the sidepulls I have lying around, including a couple that use 70’s-vintage drop bolts for extra reach. If your brakes don’t have wrench flats on the center bolt, you’re out of luck. Otherwise, this is a useful tool to have.

Took a minute to arrive but it did and is heavy enough for good force to remove the stuck thread protector on different sized barrels. Pricy but well built.

Very useful with all sizes in the same tool.

The wrench is exactly as described and works great. You have to be a little expectant of bruising or soreness due to the thinness of the wrench. But that is a large part of what makes this wrench work so well. It allows you to reach areas that are tight.

Useful tool for setting up and adjusting brakes for centering over a wheel rim. Useful addition to a workshop toolkit. Reasonably priced as well and made to last.

Handy tool. Only down side is if the nut is tight and you need to apply a lot of torque. Then its a bit hard on your hand because the shaft is so thin. But I guess that’s the idea.
