  • DECREASE DISCOMFORT TO RIDE LONGER: The KOM rocker plate is the perfect accessory to extend your indoor ride time whether you are dropping watts on Zwift, Trainer Road, or Wahoo SUF. With horizontal movement it decreases static pressure to your joints, creating a more comfortable immersive indoor cycling experience, that will keep you training all winter long.
  • IMPROVES BALANCE AND ENGAGES YOUR CORE: The Rocker Plate provides 13° of total horizontal motion that forces you to engage your core and balance your body like you do while riding outside. The result of this is stronger core muscles ensuring you maximize every second of your indoor training time.
  • HEAVY-DUTY SKID-RESISTANT CONSTRUCTION: We enhanced the durability and thickness of the Rocker Plate to ensure it lasts all the laps around Watopia you put in when you can not ride outdoors. The bottom plate features rubberized grips so it won’t scratch your floor and allows you to sprint all out without having to worry about the Rocker Plate moving.

Cons: Drastically overpriced. Fair price would be about $200 for what they’re providing — not $500. There is no front/back motion, only side to side. This isn’t a big deal but you’re not getting the full on-bike motion experience and for the price they charge, it should do this out of the box.

Pros: I love the ability to have a more authentic cycling feel to my rides. When I’m out of the saddle, the bike now goes from side to side and I am more stationary — just as if I were out on the road. It makes riding more comfortable — I don’t feel the butt pain nearly as much as when sitting on an inflexible trainer. This isn’t saying that the pain is gone, but it takes longer to develop and due to the more natural feel of getting out of the saddle, is more easily dealt with.

Overall: Even though it is drastically overpriced, I would buy it again. If I had the tools and the time though, I’d look into to building my own. I’d be able to save money and but in the equipment to get front/back motion included for an even better experience.

Purchased 02/2022. The Rocker Plate is well made and arrived without damage (packaging was a little dinged up but not the Rocker Plate). Set up was easy. Encountered no problems and have had zero issues since using. I usually ride 6 days a week with some rides up to 2.5 hours, but now that better weather is near, I will be riding less indoors until fall returns here in Colorado. IMO the Rocker Plate is seamless. It has made my training even more realistic and therefore more enjoyable. Has also helped save my derrière. My trainer is a Wahoo Kickr Bike and I use the Rouvy app (love both!).

Being a fair weather cyclist I tend to spend the majority of my time riding indoors during the winter. I’d never really enjoyed the trainer all that much due to the limited range of motion. I was riding 30 minutes max before soreness and discomfort would cause me to stop. After coming across the concept of rocker plates several months ago I had constructed a very basic one that provided some tilt, but was an accident waiting to happen. I saw this one on Amazon and finally broke down to buy a properly engineered and constructed product. My initial reviews –
Shipping: Fast, got it within 5 days of ordering
Packaging: Amazing. I was very concerned with the plate getting dinged up during the shipping process but the packaging on this was solid.
Build Quality: Light years ahead of anything I could ever conceive of building. Nice finish with grip tape/pads applied where the trainer and front wheel will rest on the deck. I don’t have any doubts this will last a long time
Assembly: Minimal. Instructions provided were satisfactory. Came with a pump, 4 inflatable balls, tie down straps, and a level. After a little tweaking I was able to get the balls inflated where the plate was level with the bike and trainer on it
Experience: I only have one ride on it so far, but at the 30 minute mark I wasn’t sore! You’ll definitely feel your core engaging more to stay upright due to the side to side motion. I didn’t have to do micro adjustments to change positions on my sit bones.

I had to build a frame for my Saris H3 for it to work. Also had issues with deck panels peeling. But KOM customer service is amazing and in terms of functionality, the plate is a total game changer for indoor riding. I do 12-15hrs a week indoor in the winter and hate every minute of it. One week in and despite the compatibility issues and deck tape, I’m ever going back

Set up was easy. Have barely had to adjust anything in almost 2 weeks of use. Eases discomfort and generally adds an element to your indoor riding. I’m still on a Kickr Snap wheel-on trainer, it secures it perfectly in the back and gives you enough straps and options to lock down the front legs securely as well. I paired it with the Smart Sterzo to be able to steer in Zwift races, and there’s definitely more interaction and just plain fun than ever before.
Not to mention KOM said they warranty the plate, so any major issues would be taken care of I believe.
My only suggestion – wipe it down after each session and put a towel down to catch some sweat, center of the plate (and get a sweat guard for your bike).

I had excellent support from Trevor at KOM. He gave me the information I needed to confidently order the rocker plate. The device is great. It makes stationary riding more realistic and comfortable. My favorite thing is when using the Zwift app, I can lean into the curves like I would on the road.

Oh, and it came much quicker than expected!

Overall a solid rocker plate, could be more stable, and definitely need to rethink the grip tape, arrived already peeling up.
