  • WET OR DRY PERFORMANCE: Green Oil Lube’s plant extract formula does not freeze and stays effective even at temperatures as low as -11 degrees Celsius. This makes it a great choice for bike riding in wet or snowy trails, mountain biking, or on rainy day city commuter rides. Green Oil’s wet lube has a lot more applications than just bike chains. They can be used on bike locks, brake levers, cables, snowboard bindings, and other lube applications
  • ANTI RUST PROTECTION: Green Oil Chain Lube is an award-winning bio-lube formula that is designed to reduce friction and protect your bike chains and snowboard bindings for a long time. Green Oil lubricant protects your bike chains against rusting in wet conditions. The bottle comes with a long nozzle for easy access to hard to reach areas for effective penetration and protection. The formula is less sticky and does not attract a lot of grime and dirt for added corrosion resistance
  • DURABLE, SMOOTH & EFFICIENT RIDES: Green Oil Lube reduces friction and thereby minimizes chain wear. Avid bikers will love the smoother and faster gear changes as well as fewer chain replacements. Green Oil Lube delights bikers with improved efficiency, especially in wet conditions. Wet lube’s special plant-based ingredient, N-Toc helps with durability, making it effective for up to 125 miles between applications
  • EASY APPLICATION: Make sure the chain is dust-free and dry. Start applying to the chain. Gently keep cranking the chain using the pedal for complete application over one length of the chain. Apply to the rollers, the cylinders of the chain. Spin the crank a few times. Wipe off excess lube from the outside of the chain to prevent messy transfers to clothes. However, during snowy rides, a full coating is recommended to fight the effect of road salt for rust prevention
  • NATURAL & ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY: Wet lube is made in Britain with plant-based ingredients instead of palm oil. where each bottle could be a totally different color. Green Oil is a great eco-friendly bike lube, The formula is also free of harmful propellants used by comparable lubes. The skin-safe lube gives bikers extra peace of mind

Chain oil worked really well and made more of a difference then expected. Kudos to the company for developing a great, green product.

Read a lot of reviews first and this stood out, nice to know I’m not polluting the woods or trails whilst churning along. It works beautifully.
One thing though, heavy rain strips it off, especially the harsh downpours so make sure you top up your chain after such rides/commutes.

I really wanted this lube to work great, or even well, as I am dedicated to avoiding chemical and petroleum based products as much as possible. However, this lube is a nightmare for your drivetrain. I purchased this 3 months ago and I ride an average of 30 miles per week, so I lube my chain a lot. Basically what happens is when you apply this lube it coats everything (chain, jockey wheels, cassette, and chainring) with a thin layer that is – sticky. I’m sure you can imagine what happens then – dust, dirt, and debris stick to all these surfaces leading to a huge mess. The coating is impervious to even straight Simple Green. I ran the chain through m Park Cyclone chain scrubber for 5+ minutes and it barely took any of the build up off, I gave up and am just going to replace the chain. I will have to remove the jockey wheels and chainring off to soak them in alcohol, they look like like they are caked with old grease. Oh well, back to standard lubricants.

Mountain biking through pristine forests and creeks with petroleum or synthetic based lubes never quite sat right with me. So, I started searching for something more eco-friendly. I have used a lot of different brands of lube and they all have their shortcomings (some more than others). They don’t last very long or they collect dirt and gunk up your drivetrain. Green oil is not perfect, but I would rate it near the top of the lubes I have used. I thoroughly wipe down my chain after applying and it does not gunk up drivetrain. The only downside I have found is that it doesn’t last long for offroad use (MTB or gravel). I would say maybe 10 hours of riding depending on how wet it is.

Very good lubricating properties, but seems to leave a film or gunk that I need to wipe off and/or dissolve a bit with sewing machine oil.

The oil goes on easily, thanks to a very user friendly nozzle. My chain shifted very quietly after application.

It came with the cap off and no cap in the box. It would sure be nice to have the cap. And yes it did make a mess and there is some oil missing however; it is the missing cap that is the most annoying.

I have tried may chain lubes over the years and can firmly say this stuff is the real deal!! Not only does it work fantastically but it is fully plant derived and biodegradable. Offered in two sizes and even though it lasts a long time just buy the larger, you’ll use it eventually. Green Oil also makes great other bike maintenance products!!

Suppose to help the environment. I only used it a couple of times and I am satisfied with this product. The instructions says that you have to use it every 200km.
