This multitool set has 90% of the tools needed to fix anything on your bike… minus tire levers, & wrenches to remove a bottom bracket, cassette, or pedals. But removing a BB, cassette, & pedals are not something you’d be doing in the field anyway.

Love how these store in the handlebars. I thrash the trails pretty hard, & I crash at times. Maybe a bunch of times. They don’t even come close to getting loose.
I used these tools more times than I thought I would, mostly helping other riders.
They give you a lot of leverage, & the 90° swivel lets you access hard to reach places.
It’s pricey, but worth the money.
Grab the Wolftooth quick link pliers to go with these, & you’re set.

Build quality of the tools themselves is really nice, and very compact. Great concept.
    HOWEVER –
they would not insert into my Race Face Next R carbon bars, because the inner diameter was just too small due to the thickness of the carbon. I’m told by the rep that I contacted that this is very common with carbon bars. So, wolf tooth better get with the times, because these bars are very widely used in the sport!
This is very unfortunate, as I did not see anywhere on the Wolf Tooth site a list of compatible bars.

I like how light this multitool is and the fact how convenient it is to store in the bar ends. The only issue I have is that when using it, it is easy to knock any of the other attachments off, and they are small and easy to loose if you do. It does have o-rings around it to help hold the attachments in place, but I have already lost one of those as well. I used a piece of heat shrink tube to make a sleeve that covers the attachments and holed them in place while using the tool. The cost is a little steep for a multitool. You are paying a premium for the uniqueness and ability to store it in the bar ends.

Simply put, Wolftooth components/tools are well made. (And U.S. made). I do not ride tubeless tires and was hoping to replace the rubberized ‘sticky-stick’ plug patches on the one side of the kit, used for tubeless repair, with maybe a couple bills of various denominations as a secret storage location for cash on the road – or to use the dollar bill inside the tire trick, to repair a gash in a tire, to keep the tube tucked in, in an emergency. Unfortunately it wouldn’t fit a bill in that space. [I guess you could wrap the tools with bills before putting them in the rubberized case(s) and that might work for this idea]. I had to cut the tip off some of the rubber case of the chain breaker side to get it to fit all the way into the drop bars of my road bike. Also, due to a tight fit, I had to pull out all of the bar tape from inside the bar ends and bunch it up between the end of the bar and the end cap of the EnCase tools, but it all dressed up nicely and held well through the first ride. Very compact and unique storage location to keep multi-tool equivalent device handy.

This is a kit and comes with everything needed to fit into handlebars. Fits great in 31.8mm (standard mtb) handlebars. You have some extra room to place master chain links and a couple presta cores! Only problem is now having to buy a couple more for all the bikes… Will need more field time, but can be tricky to pull out without a coin or something to get leverage to unseat the plug. Perhaps next iteration will have some type of loop that can be pulled.

So number one if you’re expecting the bits to be silver colored don’t buy it because mine are black which I was hoping they were going to be black but still other than that I had no issues other than it’s a little bit finicky to get them out of the handle bars but I think that will get better as I use them over time. Also saw people had some issues with the bit system being to finicky or having them fall out but I don’t see how they had a issue with that unless they’re just that dumb because the magnets hold everything together pretty well plus the rubber bands secure everything very well and the tool even has grooves for the rubber bands to sit in which is really nice because it prevents them from moving around and causing all sorts of issues. This tool is very well thought out. If you’re planning to use this tool for what it was designed to do I highly suggest getting it. Wolf tooth did a really good job with this tool you can definitely tell that they did their research.

The tool quality is brilliant and a very neat way to store without adding any bags.

When it arrived, I noticed one of the items was missing and wolf components sent a full set same day. Brilliant service.

The entire tool kit did indeed fit easily into my race bike drop bar ends.
No longer possible to forget bringing a toolkit on any ride, it is now part of the bike.
And it has to be said, the bike looks cleaner overall without extra bags hanging off it. Nice bikes also look cool, and this toolkit helps maintain that look.

    No rattling, either.

This is my first ever Amazon review spurred by my infuriating experience with this purchase. At install I could see the case needed some trimming and I cut the flap nearly entirely. I could feel the end caps fit snuggly but figured that would keep the tools in place while riding.

Well on my first instance of a broken chain, I ended up ripping the end caps off with the tools and case still stuck in my handlebars. Yes, I was stranded 18 miles into the wilderness with the tool I needed to repair my bike stuck in the handlebars, utterly useless. It wasnt until I got home to my workbench did I have the tools to pull the case/tool free from the handlbars. Now seeing the force it took to remove the tool, it would have been impossible to do so in the field.

Since I ripped the end caps out, the plastic case is also damaged to the point where the endcap wont stay in place and the whole design is rendered useless for future use. Oh, and the loose little rubber O-Rings used to hold the bits onto the tool are a joke too. In this effort to get the tool out of my handles bars, three bits fell out and are scattered on my floor. sorry, but its not worth my time to even search for them, given this hunk of junk is never going to see activity again. waste of money, prime source for frustration.

Just wow. Great compact storage that has no rattle or worry of losing your tools along your ride. simple, convenient tool storage for those times on the trail something just does not go right. Pricey perhaps to some, but worth every penny to those of us who like to have everything have their place and be there when we need it. Great product.
