We have always used a PARK truing stand just because it was the best, and typically only one, in our distributers cataloge. But id we had access to thsi one it would have been our choice. Just as sturdy, with the same construction, including holes in the legs to bolt to a work table, that the more expensive “Bog Ble” model has.

I used this to take off one of my wheels from my personal MADONE and quickly check the wheel for true. It easily brought it down to a .5 mm tolerance.

OVERALL – I’m satisfied with this stand, and you shld be too. Keeper!I’m satisfied,

I have been building wheels for over thirty years and have used a number of cheap and expensive truing stands. I ordered this one because I needed one for my home, it looked like the Park I used in the shop and the price was very attractive. I am amazed at how heavy duty this stand is, considering the price. Build quality is excellent too. Not quite like a Park, but perfectly fine for home use and I’d even use this in a shop. Just did my first wheel rebuild and it went quick and easy. After you set up and align the indicators, you can even use it for dishing. It opens wide enough for all kinds of hubs and come with an adapter for through-axle hubs of many types. I mounted the stand on a piece of wood for stability and I am sure I will use this often and for a long time. Excellent value, if you are looking for a truing stand and have the space to leave it. Five stars!

Heavy, chunky, solid and fairly well designed. My benchmark is the Park Tool stands I’ve always used. For my own budget, (other than a few messy welds) this is very well matched to Park quality and function. I have a nice piece of euro-ply set aside to become its base.

The bikes that I use are older and they all have rim brakes. That being the case, it bothers me when the brakes rub against the rim because the wheels are not true, or at least not true enough. I have tried to fix this before by looking at the brake to rim distance while turning the wheel. While this is okay in a pinch, I was never satisfied that I was really fixing the problem. I got this truing stand to address that issue. With the wheel off the bike, on a stand, and on a table, I am able to take my time and do a much better job truing the wheel.

The stand came assembled, except for a couple pieces. I easily attached the “feet” to the bottom of the stand and a knob to the “calipers” that check the wheel. The feet were easy to attach, and the appropriate tools, which were allen wrenches, were supplied. Setting up the stand was easy, even without detailed instructions. However, there is not a lot that needed an explanation. The stand itself is very solid, made of steel and somewhat heavy. Being heavy is a major benefit so it does not move when working on a wheel. The stand itself can also be bolted to a surface if you plan to use it in one place.

The part that secures the wheel in place, for truing, is very easy to adjust. Once that is done, the most difficult part is properly setting up the calipers. Fortunately there is a lot of flexibility for moving these, so whatever the axle setup, the calipers can be adjusted properly for the wheel. It just takes some time. Once completed, I could start on truing the wheels, which went surprisingly fast. In truth, my bike wheels were not very far out of alignment. Overall, I like this stand a lot. It is solidly built, allows for flexibility in handling different types/sizes of wheels, and I felt I could do a good job truing the wheels for my bikes. I recommend this product.

It is heavy duty. Took me some time to figure it out. I think instructions would help.

Last year, I brought a wheel into a bike shop to fix a spoke, which I seem to break a lot of – and they charged me $125. For a $4 dollar spoke installation. Not joking… Needless to say, I “spoke” my mind to the owner, vowed to never go back, and began collecting my own bike tools and watching Youtube videos on bike repair. One of the main tools I needed was a truing stand, and I was excited to come across this. I’m a layman bicyclist, and have no real working experience with what tools are good vs bad, but I’ve been very happy with this. Its solid, precise, and does the job quite well in my honest opinion. I have no complaints.

As others have said, I am shocked at the quality and sturdiness. I have not used it yet, but I see no reason why this would have any issues.

OK so I got the CyclingDeal truing stand so I could try out doing my own bike wheel truing at home (instead of paying $40 for a shop to do it), and maybe even get all the way to doing my own wheel building. It goes it waves, but I do have periods where I am breaking a lot of spokes and or nipples too and that gets expensive to have a shop fix ($60 for a great mechanic to fix and re-true the last one a couple of weeks ago). This truing stand has all of the features you would need, such as the ability to center the wheel horizontally along the axle between the arms. It is simple to assemble and use. It is insanely heavy-duty. Really bulky and just plain heavy, to be honest and a bit of a pain to move around your shop. I didn’t like that, but on the flip side, once you have it set up it becomes an advantage as it will not flex or move around unexpectedly. You might even be able to get away without bolting it down if you’re careful. So the good news is if you have a place where you can set it up and leave it, you are golden. Unfortunately for me I don’t have that kind of space at my disposal. Now you could go and buy a fancy and lighter truing stand from that famous bicycle tool company that all of the shops use…. but you’re going to find those are around 4-6X what this one costs! Spendy. So this is a good option especially if you don’t need to be hauling it around all of the time.
