    I have a great chain check for wider, non-twelve speed chains. However, I have a 12-speed SRAM AXS chain that is very narrow so my existing chain check does not fit into the chain links. So this checker is thin enough to work on AXS chains which is a plus. Works as intended!

    I got worried when my chain started slipping in gears on my Diamondback Release 4C and thought the chain needed to be replaced so I checked it and surprisingly it had very little stretching even after putting 400-00 miles on it. Just cleaned the cogs and chain and lubed it up and haven’t noticed anymore slipping!

    I recently bought the Park CC4 chain wear indicator as it works on all bike chains including 12 speed chains. Super easy to use. Replacing your chain often is key to drive train maintenance. Much cheaper to replace a chain than cassettes and chain rings.

    Now I can tell when my chain needs replacement. I no longer have to rely on my bike shop to tell me. It takes less than 2 seconds to see whether your chain needs replacement. For 11 and 12 speed chains, replace after .5% wear. For 10 speed chains, replace after .75% wear. Just snap onto the upper or lower chain section and see where the opposite end winds up. The video provided is excellent.
