Bought these in 2020 because during the pandemic the bike shops around me stopped servicing bikes so I had to do my own service. These tools have held up beautifully and are a great bargain. The only negative I would give it is the case hinge broke recently. Despite going on almost 2 years since I bought it I messaged the company and they sent me a replacement case at no charge, now that is awesome customer service! I am glad to support a company that value their customer service and stand behind their products. I will not hesitate to purchase bike hand products in the future.

Great set of tools for the weekend warrior. I gave this 5 stars because, for under $50, you’re getting a decent set of tools that will help you tackle almost any basic repair or upgrade on your bike. These are NOT bikeshop mechanic grade tools. With proper use and care, this set should last you for a while. If you want a better tool set, you’ll have to pony up more than $50. I’ve used almost every tool in this kit for the past few months and they worked just fine. I have some Park Tool brand stuff as well, which I absolutely love, but these worked just fine for what I need them for. If you need a decent kit that wont break the bank, just buy it now.

I can build a high end mountain bike in my living room, and have done so. These tools are very good and I would buy them again without hesitation. If you are getting into the sport of mountain biking and realize that fixing/upgrading is much cheaper when you do it yourself – you have the solution right in front of you. Buy these and have a blast ripping into your cassettes, hubs, cranks and anything else on your bike.
You will want to add a small torque wrench, especially if you use carbon parts. A cable stretcher will be nice to have, but not required. The torque wrench is required. Torque your screws to spec. Best practice.

These are not quality tools. A couple are outright bad. The lock ring remover (YC-126-I) has rough edges around the teeth. The thing could hardly fit and pretty much left my Shimano rear rotor center and cassette lockrings mostly shredded. It’s all but useless on the front rotor because it’s not made to fit over a 20mm axle.
So then for the front rotor I had to resort to a lockring with the teeth on the outside (SM-HB20) and use the BB wrench, which only slightly fits better as it has chipped and peeled paint of the lockring.
I’m tossing the tire levers. They are kind of useless without a spoke hook on one end. My 30 year old Zefal tire levers do a much better job for the purpose.
I found the chain rivet extractor the most useful of the bunch, even though a thin layer of the surface of the extractor pin was scraped off every time I have used it. Good thing it comes with an extra pin.
The others in the batch are only adequate, which is fine for a lot of people. These are not precision made tools. They are probably stamped or molded by automated machines, hence they have sharp edges and uneven where they shouldn’t be.. If you want high quality precision tools, pay more for a better brand.

Everything that’s listed and pictured arrived in the package. All the tools and even the carrying case are surprisingly stable, stiff and strong. The tools have good weight. Some of the tools were loose in the kit case when they arrived, but all the tools do snap into the case so it can be moved around without loose tools get dinged or tossed around. The tools in the pockets are not mounted, but they don’t slide out.
Some cons for me were that for my bike the sockets and wrenches didn’t fit, as they were too small (14 and 15mm), but that’s fine because I have plenty of those that I fit my bike (17mm). The 1/2 drive in the set was loose fitting, but I also had a ratchet for that, so it worked out fine.
Overall it was a very good set of tools considering the price, though I suggest getting a 1/2 drive ratchet and wrench/socket set in metric (these tools are normal mechanic and home repair tools, so it shouldn’t be a problem finding them or already having them.)

I used most of the tools to maintain my own bikes. Tools are doing well. They seem to be really good value for money. All tools are still in a good shape. Great, affordable item.

Cannot recommend this set enough! It has so many different tools that I keep taking this out whenever need anything done on the bicycle. Only tool from this whole set that didn’t fit was the crank removal. There are normally 2 types for square tapered cranks, mine is the smaller one and this comes with the larger one. But now I own both as I bought the smaller one separately.

As a gift to ourselves, my husband and I purchased bikes so that we could get out of the house and get some fresh air. In light of the pandemic, we couldn’t drive to the store and have them assemble our bikes, so we did it ourselves at home.
I had first saw a bicycle repair kit on another website and after discussing it with my husband, we went on a search to find one that would fit our needs and not break the bank (the one I saw on the other website was pretty expensive for what you got).
We received this kit the day after his bike came. We were able to figure out which tool to use to put his bike together. The wrench felt like a one-use-only tool because when we went to use it for my bike that came another days later, it felt like it was stripped. To be fair, this could be operator malfunction and not the tool itself. There is another tool in the kit that actually worked better for what we needed.
I ended up cutting the cover that it came in so that I could save the pictures and name of the tools in the case. Think the paper insert for See’s or Russell Stover’s candy boxes. We are novice bike users and we actually did okay putting our bikes together. We survived a 45 minute bike ride around the neighborhood and everything stayed where it should. Win for us!
I think this is a pretty good tool kit for the money. It suited my husband and I for what we needed it for. It’s nothing fancy but for us, it didn’t have to be.
