My stepdaughter left her mountain bike exposed to the elements, and, among other things, the chain was rusted and some of the links were seized-up. The first picture shows that. I used this spray on the chain, along with the brush enclosed with the spray, and some paper towels to dry things ups afterwards. As you can see from the 3rd picture, the spray, along with the brush and paper took a lot of crud off of this chain. It didn’t look perfect, but I didn’t have to remove the chain (which would have involved me removing a rivet). I then lubricated the chain with some Finish Line dry lubricant (it’s a lube in a fast-drying solvent) and put the chain back on. As you can see from the video, the chain doesn’t look pretty, but it is working again, and, after some other repairs, my stepdaughter was riding the bike that afternoon. She was happy to be able to ride alongside her young son, and I am always happy to bring a neglected bicycle back to life, with a little help from this cleaner.

This seems to work fine as a chain and even brake dust cleaner. I even used it to clean up some of the CVT assembly on a gas scooter. Just spray it on, let it soak a bit, brush, and rinse away.

I just tested this product on my Specialized gravel bicycle. Product arrived in new/sealed condition including a bottle of the cleaner, spray nozzle, brush, some instructions, and a pH tester. Unsure why I need the pH testing strips but the product advertises neutral PH so perhaps they wanted the consumer to be able to test for themselves. In any case, I soaked the bike chain and gears in this, let it sit several minutes as suggested by the instructions, and used the included brush to scrub away. It seemed to do a fine job on the gear/chain – I put the bike under a stream of water to wash off the gears and a lot of dirt came off. I then relubed thoroughly and a lot of additional dirt came off the gears. I think this product works fine – just make sure you have shop towels or other wipes to help you clean in addition to this product.

I’m really impressed with this chain lube kit! It includes a 100ml bottle of chain wax with a convenient screw top applicator. Wax is my preferred type of chain lubricant. There’s also a 350ml bottle of chain cleaner with a high-quality spray bottle top, a small 20ml spray bottle for minor cleaning tasks, and a nylon brush for scrubbing the chain. The cleaner’s instructions indicate it’s safe for all bike parts and is a scent-free light mineral oil solvent effective at dissolving dried grease. The chain wax doesn’t come with instructions, so I’ll share my method here. For optimal results with wax chain lube, thoroughly clean the chain; a brand-new, squeaky-clean chain is ideal. Lubricate every plate and roller, whether the chain is on or off the bike, work it in well, wipe off any excess with a cloth after several rotations, and let it dry overnight. This results in durable lubrication that causes significantly less buildup than oil-based lubricants, with virtually no residue on the cassette and derailleur.

I use this to clean my Venge. Seems to do well. However, all the instructions, and the label is in a foreign language. So not sure I am using this correctly? It sounds like this is more of a chain degreaser than a “bike cleaner”. So I’m somewhat confused as to what I am supposed to be using this for. I got this to clean my bike frame, NOT my chain. My chain is waxed, and has no need for a de-greaser. It does an okay job cleaning the frame… just wish the instructions were in English or dual instructions in both languages. Aside from that, it seems to be a good product. No other concerns.

It seems to do exactly what its supposed to do which is clean my bike. I’ve been mostly using it to clean my drive train since I’m not sure if it’s exactly safe for the frame/fork. But I can say that it helps remove the dust and grime off my drivetrain when using the included brush.

Wanted to try the bike cleaner spray and am pretty satisfied with the results. It does want it says and removes surface dirt and grime. The spray application makes it easy to use, but it IS easy to use TOO much this way. I used it on all parts of the bike, including the chain and gears. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is that the smell is a bit strong, but it’s a small price to pay for such effective cleaning. Overall, a great product that I highly recommend for keeping your bike in top condition!
