Update: The company contacted me immediately upon seeing my review and offered a full refund without the added inconvenience of shipping the bike back. They advised this is an unusual situation and that the bike I received must have been defective. I have added 2 stars for their amazing customer service.
I have been riding bikes all my life and have never seen anything like what I received in the Avasta Commuter Bike. I hardly know where to begin. I had no issue with assembly, as I have been assembling and taking apart bikes since I was 10. Let me simply say every aspect of this bike renders it useless for me. I even tried changing the seat and peddles as the OEMs are ridiculous. The seat nor the tires are appropriate for a commuter hybrid and the pedals are for a child’s bike. After numerous adjustments, I found no way to get the brakes to work correctly. If your trying to get a bike on a budget as I was, I suggest going to Walmart. Since I have changed the seat and pedals, I can no longer return the bike and since I wouldn’t give this bike to my enemies, I will be throwing $289 worth of metal in the provable garbage.

The parts that are used on the bike are very bad quality. The crank stripped and broke within one week of usage. The brakes are also flimsy and hard to adjust.

I bought this bike knowing full well it is a cheap product. However I wanted a bike I could ride around my neighborhood to get food and drinks with friends without worrying about it getting stolen. The bike is good for what it is. Easy to put together and setup. The only problem I’ve encountered is the front tire. It doesn’t stay seated properly on the rim and bulges out, exposing the inner tube. I’ve attached a photo for you to see. I attempted to fix the solution by deflating the inner tube pushing it back on the rim or taking the tire completely off and re-seating it. However, after a little riding it pops back out of place. My biggest concern is crashing due to getting a flat while riding due to a pinch or something coming in direct contact with the inner tube. I’m most likely going to purchase new tires and see how they work on these rim. I really hope there isn’t a problem with the rim.
