Good bike for the money. I needed a folding bike for traveling with my car as I don’t want to take my road or mountain bikes with me. It is on the heavy side and this is why not 5 stars but it looks like a solid option. The vendor also called me as I had an issue with the first order. Canada Post lost the order but the vendor reimbursed the cost and this is why I ordered again. Second order came in time with no issues but with another carrier.

The main frame of my bike is steel. I like riding it on the Bruce Freeman rail trail in nearby Acton Mass.
The folks at the Bedford Mass. did a nice job of verifying that it is working as designed.

The Solorock Hunter in yellow is gorgeous, fast and agile. For me, best derailleur ever. Excellent gear-ratios. Cons to think about: a little on the heavy side, but the bike is likely going into your house or car, not being “toted”. Pedalling while standing became much easier with experience, despite the almost vertical handlebar post. I found the included bike bell a piece of junk. Also, the included bottle-holder (mounted to the frame) did not grip any of the literally dozens of plastic bottles I tried, by bringing the bike into various department stores. When I posed a question here as to what might fit, the manufacturer suggested one by Camel that is way too slim, and then told me to secure it with bungees. The bike has only about 50 miles of groomed trail to it, yet I’m currently unable to refold the bike. I initially had zero problems whatsoever with that mechanism, and will need to bring it in for repair. The manufacturer’s website doesn’t support online warranty claims/questions, but it has a phone number.
After much thought, I successfully paired this bike with the following key accessories — though total cost climbs-up: two “CYCLESPEED Bike Mirror Rotatable Handlebar Mirrors” (bendable which helps them extend outward far enough for a view); simply AMAZING “Greallty Bike Bell, Classic BRASS Bicycle Bell with Nice Loud Tone”; couldn’t be happier too with the “ROCKBROS Bike Trunk Bag Bicycle Rack Rear Carrier Bag”, small but heavy/excellent “ABUS Ultra 410 Mini Bicycle U Lock – 5.5inch x 12mm”; perfectly acceptable “BKEJOY Bike Light Set, USB Rechargeable Bike Lights”; bespoke “Rhinowalk 20/26inch Folding Bike Bag Waterproof Bicycle Travel Case”; superb value “WORKPRO 18-Piece Hex Key Allen Wrench Set” (kit w metric and imperial); and, based on your reviews, the “cm-5.3 – Cyclone Chain Scrubber” with degreaser and oil from my local hardware.
A great bicycle for the money.

The bike came set up and ready to go with included instruction booklet on how to unfold and perform some basic safety and maintenance checks and adjustments before putting foot to pedal. You’ll need a basic set of bike tools to do this and perform future on the road repair and adjustment, (which you should have no matter what bike you own or buy). I ordered one from Amazon for $40.00 CDN which came with a 16 piece tool set, tire pump and tire patches in a compact bag. If you are not mechanically inclined or know someone who is that can give you a hand, you best find a bike mechanic that you can pay to perform setup and repair procedures. Expect that adjustments will probably be required after a short break in period, and definitely later on down the line to assure safe happy biking.
There was a small problem with one of the pedals which I discovered when initially unfolding the bike. A toll free phone call to the supplier found a friendly helpful fellow named Charles on the line who sent a replacement pedal in the mail right away. Subsequently, several maintenance and adjustment questions were answered within hours through email communications. Awesome service!
The statement, “You never forget how to ride a bike” proved false in my case, after 30 years and 50 pounds later. However, in less than an hour on a quiet wide paved road, this mid 70’s old coot gained enough confidence to feel he’d be riding like a young buck in very short order. It’s great to be able to pop the bike in the car, (I drive a small Honda Fit), and go to some places like parks, towns or biking trails without worrying if you’ll have enough energy to get there and back.
Fantastic bike. Great, fun exercise and experience. Love it.

I have had three foldable bikes, and this one is my favourite. The handle bar easily extends up and down (as my other ones could not), and it comes complete ready out of the box. They even included a solid bell and straps for the rear (in case you want to tie down some picnic chairs or something). It’s much more sturdy than I thought and rides smoothly and hugs the ground well (I am 6 ft male, and no problem for my height). They provided all the manuals/contact info, etc. Super friendly staff, and thanks for the extra inner tube they threw in. Highly recommend!

For half the price of brand-name folders, expectations where not inflated. Nevertheless, this performs much above expectations. It’s not as fast, efficient, or rugged ad a conventional bike, but it can fold up to fit in any mot vehicle in about 30 seconds. Perfect for shorter trips in urban environments. I can’t help but smile every time I ride.

I’m usually too lazy to write reviews, but this bike is amazing. I never would have expected the quality of the hardware and build at this price point. Comfortable ride; I thought the 20” wheels would be a little bumpy on the roads where I ride, but I’ve found it not to be a bother. One point of annoyance: The kickstand inhibits a smooth fold. Folding it down takes some maneuvering and pulling the handlebars back and forth to get the magnet to make contact and fasten, but after removing the kickstand it folds quickly and easily. Don’t mess around with the other cheap bikes on Amazon, SoloRock bikes are made in Canada and the people there seem to genuinely make an effort to make alternative transport accessible.

Me encantó el diseño. Cómoda para conducir. Aunque es un poco pesada para mí se puede cargar. Es suave el mecanismo y fácil el cambio de las velocidades.
